My roommate's sister goes to high school so big whoop. She doesn't need to sleep early. But I did. My body refuses to fall asleep when I overthink or have many ideas in my mind that I need to draw / write out. Long story short, my roommate had a breakdown and her sister came in to comfort her. Cool. I get that. But then the sister started getting all sorts of loud and obnoxious. I'm laying there thinking, "SHUT THE HELL YOUR MOUTH." UGH. I'M PAYING RENT TO GET SOME FREAKING PRIVACY AND SLEEP DAMN IT.

It also doesn't help I'm mostly creative and active during night time. Artist problems.

One word: Earplugs. Not the ideal solution but might beat sleeping in the car. Find the smallest size for comfort and pay a bit extra, and they actually might be ok. I hate them myself, small sensitive ears, don't get me wrong, but occasionally had to use them. Biker guys get a bit rowdy and loud on long-weekend bike show campouts with live bands, so earplugs to the rescue! If they muffle all that, it might work against shrieking girls, too.

Or in a case of a loudmouth obnoxiousity, I'll opt to tell them to get the fcuk off my lawn.

Next time I play ME3MP with someone from the PS3, I'm going to use my penguin voice and sing. Because it's like... the only time I can actually sing. In actual fact, I'm TERRIBLE at singing. But my penguin/voice changer voice can sing quite well. So prepare to be sung to PS3ers. Well, it'll have to be at the weekend because I can't use my mic otherwise, but y'know. I'M GOING TO SING. Then I'm going to do my Darth Emperor Penguin voice. The PS3 voice changer gives me lots of different voices. I'm going to use them all.

Well, maybe except for my real one. Because that's classified. Between me and the Admiral XD It's for the top secret penguin earth domination plan.

And yeah, we hear all kinds of singing unbelievably often, from humming, dumtidumming, to actual singing and serenading.

There's never too much Total Eclipse of the Heart - I was a teenager when that one came out.

That song is like one of the only few songs on my phone which has lyrics. Most are Two Steps From Hell and Mass Effect soundtracks... but I have Total Eclipse of the Heart (great song), REO Speedwagon (also awesome), some Whitesnake, Journey, Boston, Bon Jovi, ACDC... and that's about it in terms of lyrics. Everything else just doesn't have them. I also have the Top Gun theme... although that doesn't have lyrics, it's still ****** awesome.

Pfft. I once ripped a masterlock open when I was 12. And when it comes to sleep, I need complete darkness, closed doors, 50-65 degrees faranheit and no sounds. The phone goes into airplane or vibrate and even my bedside clock I turn around so it's not beaming in my face. Girlfriend usually pokes fun at me about it but I like my room to look and feel like Blashyrkh.

Lol light sleeper problems. Me personally I can sleep almost anywhere like trains, in class, in buses, in clothing stores while waiting for women to finish shopping(I'll admit women do have a better sense when it comes to clothes but it takes forever for you to pick one!), while stuck in traffic, in the movies etc.

 

Hell once I'd gone to a local metal concert with a few friends and I fell asleep in the middle of that. I've also fallen asleep while standing in buses sometimes but then I wake up when I start going into the deeper sleep state and my knees start buckling. In fact I actually like hearing background noises like passing cars, trains etc when I sleep. Maybe it's because I've had to do a lot of travelling including a good deal of midnight train hopping and bus rides etc but I find these "city sounds" soothing.

I'm a deep sleeper, but I can't just sleep anywhere... I used to when I was a child, but y'know. Now I can't. I've slept through earthquakes (the small ones we get in the UK), my dog going nuts and barking in the night... hell, my dog regularly climbs into my bed and starts cuddling with me with me still asleep XD

 

I haven't tried sleeping while waiting for women to finish clothes shopping, but then again I don't really go clothes shopping with my family. Can imagine it's a little more interesting at least with a partner or a wife or something, but I'd never be able to sleep in the middle of a shop

Yeah back when I had a dog, the barking didn't bother my sleep at all. Haven't had the chance to sleep through an earthquake though.

 

As for shopping, yup done it with my girlfriend, sister, mom and grandma. And the one thing they all agree with is that when it comes to picking dresses, my taste absolutely sucks. After a lot of failed attempts to give advice, now unless it's something that requires my attention, I just find a chair to sit and nod off. Of course I would have my hand in the typical thinker/facepalm pose so that anyone who sees me probably thinks that I'm in deep thought. Or not..

Eh. The few times that I've been clothes shopping with my family, I've been asked for my opinion on something and I just say "it's a top"... because it doesn't interest me. But as I said, I can imagine it's more interesting with a girlfriend or something. Because having dinner with your family isn't interesting. But having dinner with a girlfriend is. So basically everything is more interesting when done with a girlfriend or a wife or someone who isn't your family, really.

Although to be fair, the next game I have on the PS3 is probably going to be this weekend (hopefully) with OWA.

 

So she'll have to put up with my singing XD

Thing is, your wife is family though. Besides, call me old fashioned but I like having dinner with my family when I can, moms cooking is a beast!

Yeah but they're not blood relatives... hopefully. They're like a different type of family. Family is like mum and sister and y'know all the people you have to live with from birth.

But while you can't choose your family, you CAN choose your wife/girlfriend. That makes them much better. It's also a different type of love, so y'know, differences and all that. So hence why it's better to go shopping with them than it is with your family. Because choice+romantic love = better than going shopping with your family.

I hope that argument makes sense, because I'm just typing directly from my brain without like... translating it into English. My brain logic isn't especially logical, so yeah. JUST ASSUME I MAKE SENSE RIGHT NOW.

 

Eh... eh... eh... I'd just rather cook a meal myself. I'm good at baking like cakes and things... less good at cooking actual food, but I can still make nice things.

... and now I want a cake. Whenever I make a cake I always put almond essence in. It makes it taste nice. Damn I want a cake... Anyway. Back to the original point. I'd rather have a dinner with a wife/girlfriend (you know, when I actually get one XD) than my blood relative family people. As I've said before, penguins are incredibly romantic creatures so it appeals to us.

I am more of an inception sleeper.... once I realize Im dreaming I try to fall asleep within the dream..........just to see how far down I can go in the sleep cycle...also, so I can steal stuff from inside cilian murphy's head.
