I'm well aware that mics aren't needed, however it makes it much more fun to be able to talk to people. While I'm not on PS3 myself, there are many people playing MP on all the other platforms, and I know there are about a dozen people posting in Combat Strategy (you might want to read that for a few days to spot them) who who are playing regularly on PS3. I don't really do chatrooms while playing, but I am looking for people to play with. I keep finding people but they are in the wrong galaxies. Mass Effect is epic though and I got my wife into it as well...
