I'm gonna go with what Cain said, the game is more based on knowledge than skill, although skill is still necessary it's knowledge that will save you in the end.

Yes and no. You can buy food in either units but some things are definitively either in english or metric e.g. the speed limit is in miles per an hour whilst fizzy drinks are in litre bottles. The most important thing is that we still have our english pint, which is 568ml vs the European one which is half a litre 500ml.

Skill measurements are a conceptual weakness. N7 do not use them.

If you are the "last person standing" in a wave, can you beat the odds till the next round. Also, if a player could handle anything the game throws at them. Skilled players could solo if they had too, but choose to play with a group. N7 and challange points are , meaningless.
