Aaryn Flynn is being a tease on twitter with a blurry picture.

So what do you guys think? Ground confirmed? Dirt textures confirmed? Does it kind of look like the shadow of some kind of stag? Annnnnd... this might mean we're actually getting footage this coming week.  :D

I'm hoping for halla as mounts.  It does look like a stag, but I don't think it'd be a mount.  Maybe you can hunt wildlife like in Skyrim, for resources you can craft into weapons and armor?

Even if it's only a return of ambient wildlife that you could find in DA:O, I'd be happy.  It adds something to have random animals running around, for no other reason than to have random animals running around.  Makes the world feel more alive.

Dragon Age Skyrim seems to be shaping up quite nicely.

Hush... Don't ruin my fabulous dream of my huge Male Qunari Inquisitor with flowing locks riding atop of a majestic stag, complete with lots of slow-motion and sparkling.

Though it does look similar to Skyrim's wildlife, so I wonder if hunting is coming in to play somehow.

Considering how many hours I spent hunting in Skyrim, I am OK with this. But I don't know if it would be the same without the first person bow.

Or perhaps it's a female Qunari taking a bath   :P

They've already said we will need to find resources for crafting so I can imagine Skyrim style skinning animals would be a thing.
I never thought that we could have Halla mounts, that'd be amazinnngggg.

It's a shame for me personally, I'm not hugely into crafting so I always get impatient in games where to get the best loot you have to craft (see: assassin's creed black flags). But I'll survive. Maybe we can pet the wild animals instead of murdering them. I'd like that.

Yeah, like I have time for hunting stags while the world's going to hell... Crafting really isn't my cup of tea in that respect. Would be awesome if I could send my agents to gather these crafting resources in my stead.

If our slaves servants subjects have time to clear boulders and mine ores then surely they have time to kill some forest creatures so that we don't have to.

There is some concept art with an Inquisitor on a mount, and if you look closely, it doesn't look like a horse.  I think it's a halla, so even though they aren't confirmed, I'm pretty sure at least elves will get to ride on halla.

From what I can analyze, there are trees in Dragon Age Inquisition. This one's a long shot, but I believe there may be rocks as well.

It is clear to me from that fuzzy picture that someone has dropped their bra while a spirit otter keeps watch for peeping toms.

For some reason this just makes me really hope dwarves can ride mabari.

That amuses me so I will give you a "like."

Actually wouldn't dwarves be more likely to ride those bronto things?  They were canonly used as dwarven mounts.  I kind of hope they are added.

But yes, if you look closely at the concept art with the mountain and the Inquisitor riding on something, you'll see that the "something" has a short tail and pronged horns/antlers.  If it's not a halla, it's something similar.  But, it may be like the raven/crow in that other concept art, and we'll discover that we only get horses after all.  they may not have time to implement anything else.  After all, a horse and a deer move quite differently, so it wouldn't just be modeling and texturing work, but also animation work.

Yeah I guess brontos would make more sense. And you're right about that concept art, it definitely looks like it has some sort of antlers at least.

It does seem like it'd be a lot of work to put in different mounts but in one of the PAX panels someone mentioned getting horses and then was corrected to "getting mounts", so who knows!

I really hope this means it will be some actual footage, that would be amazing. The environments in the demo they did looked beautiful, I am looking forward to seeing more.

If it's another picture over the dev diary videos, I'm gonna be mad and Bioware will be the ultimate troll.

I think they inferred that it wouldn't be the dev diary video, due to delays with it. I think the quote was 'something else', but I doubt it will just be a picture.

I wouldn't really have a problem problem with was half the size Of AC BF crafting system but since since DAI will most likely completely end with no usual end or after game like the other it should be as bad as Ac but some cool resoures other than ores to make armor and weapons is we could need to find mounts for us and are army I hoping for an army of Qunari and dwraven ride halla or each other
