Let's look at the Arl of Murdock. He saved an Old man from being hit by a Circle of Magi Carriage which dislodged a Lyrium potion which Struck him the face, rendering him Blind. Somehow able to see with a Mysterious Aura Sense that replaced his sight, he's taken to protecting the populace wearing crimson Armor as the mysterious Red Devil. The Knight without fear.

Elsewhere in Orzammar...

Rock Richards, arguably the most brilliant Shaper/Alchemist/Smith (all round renaissance dwarf) of his generation was creating a vessel that would enable him to study the Deep Space Beyond the Roads. Together with his betrothed, Susan Stone, her brother Jonny Stone and best friend Bhelen Grimm, they set off on this perilous mission only to be bombarded by deadly Lyrium radiation. Upon crash landing back unto Orzammar, our four heroes find themselves transformed with bizarre new abilities.

Rock Richards can now stretch his body into incredible lengths and shapes, Sue Stone gained Master Stealth and can cast Force Field,  Jonny Stone can now fly and immolate himself and cast all flame spells with no mana cost and fatigue while Grimm have been transformed into a stone golem. They had since decided to use their powers for good and soon gained recognition as the Paragon Four!

Makes me wish there was a way to push Howe into a chemical vat...  I think he'd make a great Joker.

Of Course if you do this like the Old FF Origin Blurb at the beginning of the Books, that Marvel did in the 70's and 80's, It'd go something like this. Paraphrased of course...

"A Brilliant Blacksmith! His Best Friend!, The Woman He Loves!, and her Fiery Tempered kid Brother! Together they braved the unknown dangers of the Deep Roads and were Transformed by Lyrium Radiation into something more than Merely Dwarven!. Mr.Paragon!, The Golem!, The Invisible Woman!, The Dwarven Torch! Now they are the Paragon Four, and the World will never be the same again!"

You cannot forget Honnleath, and the villager that dressed all in green? He was a self proclaimed vigilante against the pigeon scourge along with his trusty golem sidekick Kato. The Green Honnleath and Kato made all towns and villages safe from the marauding pigeons, quickly making pie from any that dared to deface the statues of Andraste.

And lets not forget Bann Logan, a loyal supporter of Sophia Dryden, following her into the Grey Wardens but who was taken by the mage Avernus after Dryden's defeat at Soldier's Peak, who was intrigued by Bann Logan's innate and automatic use of creation magic to restore his body, an unusual manifestation of a previously unrecognized magic talent. Avernus had also observed during the final battle at Soldier's Peak what seemed to be blades, or even claws, of bone coming out of Bann Logan's hand at one point when Bann Logan had lost his sword. Avernus decided Bann Logan would be a perfect test subject for his experiments into the uses of darkspawn blood, changing Bann Logan further and making him increasingly feral. Eventually, desperate to break free of the demons imprisoning him, he used dark rituals to transmute Bann Logan's skeleton into Dragonbone to make him practically indestructible and transform him into the perfect warrior to fight the demons of Soldier's Peak. But something went wrong, after the years of experiments Bann Logan snapped and broke free, nearly killing Avernus, and tore his way free through the demons outside. When after many months living wild he recovered some of his wits, Bann Logan could no longer remember who he was, and so now wanders Thedas, haunted by dreams of pain and torment searching for his past, and who gave him his Dragonbone skeleton
