Just found this thread, allow me to add my brick to the edifice.
What about a random encounter with four ex-Ostagar vet pursuied by guard capitaine Lynch for a theft they did under order but are now unable to prove.
The group is led by Bann Hannibal with his fellow soldier Ser Peck, Ser Murdock (who went slightly mad) and Ser Baracus (who for some reason is afraid of going into a carriage).
It might be a tad out of the superhero thing but it make me laugh nonetheless.

The only true danger they face is from the evil apostate Gargamel and his shape changing cat Azrael who believe that a paste made from their bodies will make him the most powerfull mage in the world.

err... wasn't Ferelden supposed to be the equivalent of England? If so, all the American super-heroes stuffs needs to be thrown out. And in comes... Captain Ferelden, and even Super-Nanny!!
Hah Super Wynnie you mean? Nanny to the whiny templar-neverbes that became Grey Wardens, dispenser of condescending advice and multiple "time outs" for mentioning "gryffons".

Ten years ago, a crack adventuring group was sent to prison by an Orlesian court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Denerim underground. Today, still wanted by the chevaliers, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Party.

Their boss, Jehn Forsythe, or Jenny for short, is never seen. He assigns duties to them and their 'Friend', Bosley, via a hole in a door of an unmarked building next to the shop, Wonders of Thedas. And he always begins by saying,
"It's Jenny, Angel. Time to go to work."
