I nearly expected I had to fight against Superman when this happened and that he had set up an ambush for me. Since it happened pretty early in the game I realized I would stand no chance against him, especially since I had no kryptonite. The only hope was that, as I recall from the "old" pre-John Byrne Superman, that he was vulnerable to magic and I happened to be a mage.

Aww

Just found this thread, allow me to add my brick to the edifice.

What about a random encounter with four ex-Ostagar vet pursuied by guard capitaine Lynch for a theft they did under order but are now unable to prove.
The group is led by Bann Hannibal with his fellow soldier Ser Peck, Ser Murdock (who went slightly mad) and Ser Baracus (who for some reason is afraid of going into a carriage).

It might be a tad out of the superhero thing but it make me laugh nonetheless.

Deep within the Brecilian Forest there lies a tiny, mushroom hut village inhabited by a race of blue skinned pygmy elves. Standing only two apples high, these strange magical beings are adept at hiding themselves from mortal eyes and are friends to all the creatures of the forest.

The only true danger they face is from the evil apostate Gargamel and his shape changing cat Azrael who believe that a paste made from their bodies will make him the most powerfull mage in the world.

During the Landsmeet there was a great entertainment of a daring human. He was very fond of alcohol and soon his liver wouldn't function properly. His son, Joey Blaze, made a deal with the Desire Demon. She would cure his father's sickness if he would ride for her. He agreed and she fixed his liver. However, during the Landsmeet, he fell off his horse and broke his neck resulting in death. Years later Joey met the Desire Demon claiming her end of the deal and changed Joey into the Wisp Rider.

On the up side... you do get a super (i.e. best in the game) cool sword from this quest-line.

err... wasn't Ferelden supposed to be the equivalent of England? If so, all the American super-heroes stuffs needs to be thrown out. And in comes... Captain Ferelden, and even Super-Nanny!!

Hah Super Wynnie you mean? Nanny to the whiny templar-neverbes that became Grey Wardens, dispenser of condescending advice and multiple "time outs" for mentioning "gryffons".

Honnleath, eh? Sounds vaguely familiar...

Kinda makes you think Shale = Puff the Magic Dragon (i.e. Shale, the Magic Golem)...

Ten years ago, a crack adventuring group was sent to prison by an Orlesian court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Denerim underground. Today, still wanted by the chevaliers, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Party. Image IPB

Do not forget the one that will be solving the crimes so that the super-fereldens might get the bad guys: The highly intelligent and overly excentric Emissary Sharlock Holmes, and his stalwart partner Watson! Solving human crimes ever since they found running around in the Deep Roads an utter waste of time.

One upon a time, there were three little girls who went to Denerim's Guards Academy and they were assigned 'very hazardous duties'. But someone took them away from all that, and now, they work for him...

Their boss, Jehn Forsythe, or Jenny for short, is never seen. He assigns duties to them and their 'Friend', Bosley, via a hole in a door of an unmarked building next to the shop, Wonders of Thedas. And he always begins by saying,

"It's Jenny, Angel. Time to go to work."
