But treating it like a garuntee by having an automatic death mechanic in game, IE a pitfall-esqe system, that's okay.

 

It's a difficult mechanic to balance, as i said in my first entry into the thread; it would be a nightmare to find a system to satisfy most people with this ridiculous school of magic. I did come up with an idea for measuring how susepable the Mage in question would become to demonic suggestion though.

 

I'd say it would tally up usage points or some such in game mechanic to keep track of it, if it reached thresholds then the PC likely would experience adverse effects to using it. Such as attracting more attention from demons then normal, the Demon if it used to one to gain such power occasionally whispering into the PC's mind, Basically indicators that using that crap was making the PC's resolve to fight demonic influence weaken.
