He is the most popular Turian kit and even more poular than the GI and rightly so, as he can be played while half asleep.
I believe he's something like the 3rd most popular. Way ahead of the GI which is around number 9 or similar.
(I think Vanilla Human is at number 1, please correct me if anyone can find the BW list)
He's my pug survivor character. Many pugs are now UUG with lots of new low level players. I know I'll be able to clutch/solo a few rounds with this guy.
I have more fun with other characters, but I get to extraction more often with the TGI.
However my TGI Sniper is my favourite sniper platform by a long way.

I'll take Soldier or Sentinel over Ghost. Sometimes there just are days when I'm feeling brain dead and don't feel like putting any effort in to the game -> TGI with Lancer my answer for those moments.

Though not a fan of infiltrators in general, I like the character quite a bit. Turian infiltrator with jetpacks and overload specializing in ARs ? Hell yeah. There are some nice moves one can do with the jetpacks, his damage output is ridiculously high and there is even a ton of fun with melee builds to be had.
That being said, what were they thinking when they designed stimpaks ? Basically the only threat now is lag delay for pushing the "immortal" button, this takes away a central element of challenge and makes extended use boring. Which is a pity, as the basic design of the character is actually very good.

TGI or the Havoc are my favorite "level up" characters. At level 5 or 6 you can still rock U/U/G and get enough XP to switch to a more fun character. They don't seem as OP offensively at that level either.

Real ELITES go PUG with a neon green and red QME with Harrier.

Original Turians are my favorite. Tsol and Tsent are so much fun IMO.

There are more of them in the game but except for the Havok - the rest is pretty frail - have you ever tried to evade ?
I am still just having a really, really hard time processing this.
It's a different playstyle, sure, but it's easy to evade with just simple sidesteps, long-view, and situational awareness with the old Turians. With the new Turians, I actually find their jetpack dodge annoying because it always fires when I DON'T want it to. Running up and pressing X to revive someone or activate an object? lolnope end up jetpack leap-frogging instead. ![]()

Also don't discount the original turians. They're both awesome.

Actually, Tsol is my most favorite.
I used to run Ghost with Harrier, but the constant need for ammo was really annoying. I found out Valkyrie is quite nice on him. Although I do spam overload. Overload and headshots.
As for their dodge...it can be difficult to avoid grabs or fire sometimes with old turians, but then, the jetpack dodge is too large for me. I usually end up somewhere I don´t want to.

I upgraded my Harrier to 8 the other day, and as the TGI is the only character I use it on I decided to take him for a run. By the time I'd played 4 matches with him I felt kinda dirty to be honest. There is no real skill required at all, except maybe for coming up with a strategy to deal with the ammo issues, and I wouldn't really define that as skill. I was using warfighter gear, but to be honest I didn't need the extra 2 stimpacks at any stage as everything was just dead.
I prefer to play the Tsent or TSol, and I definitely enjoy the quirkiness of the Cabal more than just annihilating what's in front of me.

You are no turian, OP.
The only real turians are vanilla ones, it's not even a question. The best-rounded weapon platform and the most interesting weapon specialist.
Lol @ dodge issue.
P.S. To all the scrubs players who prefer ghost as a typhoon user: lol

Tsent will always be my favorite. He can be specced to play in so many different ways, it always stays fresh. Playing him on plat recently was certainly an eye-opener for me and I had to re-configure him very differently in order to be viable--point is that it could be done and was fun to play.
Tsol? Meh. He plays similarly to a TGI without stimpacks--just run and gun, with more versatility in the weapons he can use due to MM.
TGI has some potential for speccing in diverse ways just like the Tsent--eg, typical cloak+power playstyle, full stimpack tank build, no-stimpack build, heavy melee build, etc. Just because there's the option to spec him as a tank doesn't make him less interesting. You could also spec the Tsent to be fairly tanky with full fitness and damage protection TA for an equivalent shield value of ~2900. Still awesome.
I've only just unlocked the havoc and no other ones, so I can't really comment on those.

Why do people always overlook the Vanilla Turians? Both the Sentinel and Soldier are awesome, great powers and passives.

Because "lolz dey arte deh first classez, so dey socks".
Basic stereotypes, already seen many, many people telling me that the Vanilla Adept is shitty.
I was like... are you ****** serious ?!

Only use the Ghost when I speedrun nowadays. This kit trivializes an already fairly easy game to beat... ![]()
