Trilogy on Next Gen?

Well, duh. It would be a box set. It would be a "definitive edition". It would be for a new generation of consoles where there are no Mass Effect DLC's available to purchase for the respective systems. Ofcourse the DLCs would be included.

Not sure why people feel the need to say they'd get it "if it has all the DLC"....

What is obvious to you and me may not be so obvious to BioWare.

Seeing as how the DLC for ME3 alone costs $40, there is no way they would include the DLC across the entire trilogy . Not included in the original purchase at least, but I wouldn't hold it past them to make the DLC purchasable yet again for a re-release. Only way I see that happening is if they priced it over $100.I would buy it on ps4 only if it includes ALL the dlc. Otherwise I see no point. Also if those games are actually more than just slight modifications to work on ps4.

There's no reason not raise the concern to make sure they know. The trilogy pack didn't include all the DLC (maybe it was too early to have the Mass Effect 3 DLC included when they released that pack, but ME1 and ME2 DLC should've been included), and we want them to know that they have to include in this one

Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 can be bought for like $30 bucks altogether. The DLC for all three games may be near $100 alone, but given the fact that some of them are over half of them are over 4 years old (ME1 and ME2 DLC), and the Mass Effect 3 DLCs are at least a year old or more, I think they can bundle it altogether for $60. It's entirely reasonable

Probably because its for the Next Gen consoles that DONT have backwards compatibility. It's not hard to understand at all
Well that's the problem of buying a next gen (or middle of the range pc if you prefer) console then.

Ah, you're one of them. One of those people.
There's nothing wrong with playing on consoles, and I don't see the problem in releasing the games with better graphics (or textures) for a next gen console. Get over yourself.

I think if they intend to release MET HD they're going to have to sell it at a higher price point than $60.

i would love to see the trilogy on next gen. I would imagine it would include all the dlc as well which would be nice. Please make this happen Bioware.

Not saying there is. I just don't see the point of them given they are just basically pc's now.
I used to be a console gamer before making the switch post ps1. I could see the advantages then but now not so.
As for re releasing with slightly better graphics - it is a tad pointless without any gameplay changes or additions unless you think graphics are massively important.
But then you'd own a pc

Or if you want to own on a next gen console, because it can't currently play them

Fair enough if you have the money to do so.

If you're going to update this for next gen, how about throwing PC fans a bone (unlike the folks at Square with Tomb Raider) and updating the PC version with some of the improvements where relevant. I'm thinking since you'd be porting to an x86 based console, you extend native controller support to the PC versions (something I cannot understand why it wasn't there in the first place). Will most of us use it? Nope, but those of us who game from the couch or can't handle long sessions on the keyboard and mouse without repetitive strain issues would love it.

I'd like to think they'll go ahead and release a PC version as well. I tried asking Aaryn Flynn on Twitter about it but got no response.

Problem will be whether it is only availble through Origin, given I got ME1/2 on steam.
If it is, that will limit its appeal.
Oh and, EA? If one of your poorly paid hivemind workers is reading this, seriously dump a screenshot function into Origin. Having to run it through Steam to get screenshots is ridiculous (and the fact I CAN run it through Steam shows how far behind you are on that front).

I'm afraid it will most likely be an Origin "exclusive."

Updated graphics, fps, and bug fixes would be nice. Perhaps adding pc cheat armors to ME1, as well as improving the gunplay a bit? Either way, this re-release sounds like an improvement over the trilogy pack from 2012. For some reason I bought that pack for a discounted price on the ps3 despite having it all on the 360. The mako got stuck in the ground on just about every planet I visited in that version. I didn't even want to give it to my brother in law for free, still felt like I was screwing him over.

I don't understand why people keep thinking they would make any changes to the games for a "HD Release" all I can see them doing is using some higher resolution textures that were used when they created the games and to make sure it will run on the new consoles. Updating combat or graphics to the level of other games I just can't see happening for that would require them to delay other projects they are on and since all three BioWare development teams are busy on new games I can't see this happening by BioWare either, they would just farm it out to another company that probably would make things worse while just improving the graphics.

I dont wanna be a Sony fanboy but I honestly don't see the point for HD remakes because I feel the ending of ME3 left a sour taste in fans like me to care to go back and play the game. And now to the Sony part, PS4 wont really need this with Playstation Now coming out.

Fair enough if you have the money to do so.
I don't own a computer because I've found it caters to my occasionally-addictive personality too much. Staying active, healthy, is vitally important to me but there have been a couple of points in my life I've wound up glued to my PC for entirely too long. I sold my computer and I'm much happier, but that's just me, my problem, my solution.
Owning consoles doesn't have that effect on me, so I'll remain a console player through and through. There are still limitations on how multipurpose a PS4 can hope to be (and things like streaming to share one's progress and such don't interest me at all) so thankfully I don't see that changing once I own one.
I get all my schoolwork done on campus and at the computer lab here, no sweat. I'm aware I'm a somewhat unique case, but there you have it -- another reason someone would be in greater favor of consoles.

Way OT here, but how come RSD isn't an issue with controllers?
