Devices = rage quit for most of you, I get that. They kill your fast time, impossible locations, etc. But on some maps, it's one of the easiest objectives. And since I don't solo a lot at all...

 

Am I wrong for only hating devices sometimes?

I started to list the maps where devices are easy and the only ones I came up with were Giant, Rio, I started to say White but then you get the one at the top of the ladder, so eff dat...Goddess, hell naw. They're not too bad on Ghost, Dagger can be a b*tch especially vs. Geth....

 

I play too many full team games to really appreciate the troll potential of devices.

I've tried to solo Thunderdome a number of times, and devices is usually a death sentence, regardless of which wave it's on.

I think I have grown to hate targets more on my platinum solos.  Map dependent of course.

Depends mostly on your luck, but characters with teleports (Cabal, Fury, Slayer) have an easier time pulling them off. Back when Thunderdome solos were a thing on the old BSN, I pulled a w10 devices with the Cabal.. Suffice it to say, never again....

It's map dependent tbh. Devices on certain maps like white, giant, ghost, rio, Vancouver are usually easy. But even on those maps, you need to kite a bit to get them done which I absolutely hate doing.

@HeroicMass: Needless to say, faction specific also on targets. Brutes on wave 3 Collectors (or is it wave 6?) isn't so bad, but trying to reserve missiles for the later objective waves when you get a wave 3 targets is quite the momentum killer.

Thanks. I got really close once a few months back. Was using the Asari Valkyrie/Talon and got downed by a Geth Turret after a Dragoon forced me out of cover on extraction. 

 

Haven't had the heart to try since. 

 

Pretty sure I had wave 6 devices that run too...
