Bull****.In some states in America it is still illegal to play with yourself!
What is the point of Solo'ing?

I don't really get why if you solo on a multiplayer game, you instantly get UBER PR0 $K1LLZ
You don´t. I am not big into it but I feel that having done the occasional solo has improved my overall awareness, which helps a lot also in team matches. Many people are also into it because they just enjoy the challenge.

Did it for the challenges at first, but do it occasionally for fun. It definitely helped my awareness and made me a team player in the process though.
Plus, there are some days where I'd rather run a ~30-minute gold solo instead of a ~25-minute full game where I spend time trying to help people off the floor instead of killing things.
Platinum solos are still purely just for challenge.

Challenge and fun (subjective).
Bronze&silver = fun
}challenge
Gold&Platinum = neurons lost
This is me being subjective.

I do it if I am downloading/uploading stuff and don't have enough bandwidth to play with people.

I never said I found it fun.

I did my first gold solos to get the Lone Wolf Banner, which was one more step to the BOTB banner.
I solo now to challenge myself. With time and practice, full team platinum matches have become sometimes too easy, so I regularly need a more difficult game.

It gives you the possibility of defeat, as opposed to wiping the floor with platinum in a good lobby. It's nice to feel challenged sometimes while playing this game and I've never been a fan of carrying pugs, so I'd rather try a solo...

Every player less than the maximum adds a multiplicative increase to the level of e-peen. Soloing is the lowest amount of players possible, and thus provides a exponential increase to e-peen.
It's all very scientific.

But wouldnt that create e-peen overload?Every player less than the maximum adds a multiplicative increase to the level of e-peen. Soloing is the lowest amount of players possible, and thus provides a exponential increase to e-peen.

I enjoy the challenge from time to time. You also learn more about the AI and how it behaves when there isn't so much other noise joining on in a match. You learn some specific things about kits and enemy behavior as well when soloing.
I cannot bear it though without someone in party to at least talk to. I find duoing is the best though personally.

It's more of a test of knowledge and strength, and it's for challenge. If you can't solo a Bronze, how dependable are you when the team is down?

That's something you would probably find more enjoyable with others, rather than soloing.

I only attempted to solo a bronze and I fail miserably on wave 1.
My first solo was a mistake because no one joined my game. I had just started getting comfortable with the game. Played mostly human vanguard, I guess I was a bit lucky because all through the game I kept hoping someone would join. Nobody joined and I finished the game still surprised and still wondering if the game was actually meant to be finished solo. Well, I jumped on the internet and got enlightened.
I've been able to solo everything except platinum simply because I lack the most important skill required... "patience"

Soloing is a different skill/mind set than MP. It's not necessarily *harder* with the correct loadout--just different than what you may be used to in MP. In fact, there's plenty of times in some MP games I've thought it would have been easier to solo it due to PUGs unintentionally sabotaging objectives, or disrupting spawns, etc. As with all things, more exposure/practice/initial failure should eventually make you better. As with all things, don't go OCD over it--if it's not fun for YOU, then don't bother with it.

Solo'ing gold or platinum can be quite enjoyable if I'm in the mood for it, that's all.
