I do a lot of work around to use this site, with IE. Most everything is done in BBCode, because the other editor doesn't play nice for things like quotes, spoiler tags, hyperlinks, images. For the most part, I am not that fussed, but it isn't like I have everything memorized in BBCode, to utilize all the different functions. In the case of quotes, spoiler tags and images, that is easy enough to type out in BBCode, but I can't remember how to do a hyperlink. I tried to use it in the other editor and not only does it not add the hyperlink, but it doesn't even let me close the window to add said link. I end up having to back all the way out, and I lose everything I had already written in the post. This has happened twice now (once on the first day of launch, then today). I tried it again today, in case you had worked out your issues with users that have IE, but apparently those haven't been addressed yet.

This is a new work laptop, and I have yet to download another browser. Considering that IE is still commonly used and a perfectly acceptable choice for someone to make for a browser, I do hope that you make it compatible with your new forum posting editor. Thank you for your time.

I agree with you that it's a shame this site doesn't work well with IE at the moment. Despite all my friends giving me flak for it, I still mainly use and prefer IE as a browser.

However, I've had to literally download and install Chrome just to use the new forum. It's the only thing I use Chrome for - this one site.

It'd be nice to be able to go back to IE. We'll see what happens, I suppose.

Played with it some more.

In the body of the text just type the link in and it will post correctly.

Example: http://twitter.com

If you don't like the workarounds, use a different browser.  I'm sure BioWare knows this issue and are working to get compatibility fixed.

As I stated in the OP, have not had a chance to download another browser to this new laptop, though I don't generally have a problem using IE. Having not seen some of the specifics to this issue, posted previously, it seemed appropriate to relay this info. Whether they are aware of all the different issues or not, is unclear. There was no hostility in my original post, nor do I believe that they will not look into it. Some people will continue to choose IE whether it is due to liking it more, or because they can not use another browser (and yes, some people don't have full control as to what they can download on to the computer they use.)

There is no hostility in neither of our posts.  I am merely pointing out that this has been raised.  I did not intend to be hostile in my response to you and I apologize if there was any hint of it.

regarding the Quote issue in IE10 and 11 there is a work around for now if you don't want to use BB code all the time. If you are on the page, scroll down to the quick reply form, press enter twice to get two new lines in here, then go up to the post you wish to quote and click on quote. The quote should now appear in the quick window.

Inserting Pictures works too, as well as pasting links http://4.bp.blogspot...-14-357x535.png

that way you won't have to switch to BB code all the time.
