ME1's hacking minigame on PC, was by far the best puzzle mini game in the trilogy. It actually required skill and being fast.
ME2's minigames are grindy, there is no possible way you can fail them.
I have no issue with either, so believe me when I say this is totally wrong. The mini games could be failed in ME2, and there were a few that couldn't be retried if you failed it (unless you reload a previous save).
I found the ones in 2 a bit harder, but the difference is trivial. The minigames were really really easy in both games.
I preferred the games in the second, as the circuit board/programming code presentation gave a touch of added pseudo realism that the generic button hit. That's just my personal preference though.
Of course the planet scanning is technically a mini game, and that IS impossible to lose and grindy as hell!
