Are the player profiles no longer being updated? I started replaying Origins a while back and then took a break, and now that I've started again I noticed that my character profiles haven't changed at all. I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on the new forums as to whether or not Bioware/EA is still doing the player profile thing or not, and I checked the legacy forums as well and there is very little information (and what is there is just fellow players speculating). Just an FYI, I play on the PC and I always make sure I'm logged in and all my online settings are correct (nothing has changed from before, aside from things suddenly not updating).
Question about player profiles updating

Profile updating appears to have stopped finally at the end of January, apart from achievements. It seems that no one official has even acknowledged the problem, let alone said anything definite one way or the other.
Odd timing for dropping support, though, now that people are digging out DA:O again in order to prep new characters for Inquisition.

I don't think you'd be importing for DA3 though, just setting up your choices in the Keep. Your DA2 save shouldn't come into play, or am i wrong on that?

You'd think someone would have at least said "We aren't going to keep doing this" or something to that effect, so at least we know what's up. And that's exactly what I'm doing, replaying DA:O (and then DA2) to prepare for Inquisition. If they have indeed ended support, I wonder why because the amount of data storage required for it can't be that large.

It's true that the Keep program will allow us to create our preferred import, but I'm not really re-playing DA:O for import purposes. I'm re-playing it to get back into the series since I hadn't played in a long time. I'd love it if the profiles updated because I like the idea of the profile keeping track of everything, it's fun to see the different info on your progress. (it reminds me of the journal in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion).
I don't know what you mean about the DA2 save coming into play. Are you talking about for Importing into Inquisition? Or using it in conjuction with the Keep, because based on the FAQ list for it, the Keep will allow you to include all possible factors from both DA:O and DA2 and will create an import to use for DA3, so you don't use an import file when working with the Keep, it creates one when you're done.

Maybe apart from the very early days of Origins, I don't recall anyone ever acknowledging problems with updates and I, and many others, have always had problems. I have quite a few characters, including my canon Warden, who've never shown up at all. It could just be a non-decision decision, since I don't think anyone's tried fixing it in years.

I wish this wasn't broken either. Or even a way to simply let them know. It's almost impossible to contact EA about these little minor support issues.

I found the " online service updates" website and there was no mention of of it, would be nice to get some official feedback.

It's not getting updated in this forum. I just registered and logged in new to DAO, and while my achievements are showing up in the old forum, I still don't have rights to post in the other forums under this title. Scuttlebutt only, which sucks since I have some questions that are game related. It seems that they carried over profile info as it was in the old forum but it's not allowing anything new to cross over. Maybe they will update it so that people playing any DA can still use the forums. I can understand not doing this for ME series as it is over. But this one is still going and the third is to be released. Surely they should make it so people new to the series can post in those forums. Very frustrating.

I can now post in the rest of the DAO forums so I think there must be some kind of updating happening. Glad that BW handled it so it could do that.

Your access has updated Starlitegirl, but the profiles are still borked (no character updates, and even my acheivements are incorrect for DA:O)...
And no response from BioWare to the two threads that were created a month ago about what is happening....

I think it would be great if they could get it to work, maybe in a new format and more accessible. If for no other reason than I'd like to see what choices people have imported to Inquisition.

Dragon age Achievements not recognized & sync on my player's profile for Dragon age Origins but recently I played Dragon age 2 on my ps3 and that was sync wtf? Origins Is stuffing dragon age origins around with all the achievements and characters. you need to sync them to add to keep other wise you get a default choice not the good looking characters you made in-game and spent 40 hours playing through the game!
I added my achievements etc. for origins in 2012 on ps3 and had issues but this is the first time I also seen on forums and I too agree with you on this.
