I don't really try to control spawns much. The spawning in this game is effed up anyway; even if everyone stands where they're supposed to, spawns split, appear right in front of you etc. so I don't get too caught up in that.

They only do that on wave 11 and certain objectives. Other waves they will never spawn right in front of you (unless you run into them that is).

It doesn't matter much to me. I check everyone's position every wave and figure out where they'll spawn.

But it drives me crazy when pugs stand in the Glacier/White basement.

Exactly the same for me. Those are the only two spawns I'll get annoyed if pugs **** up. Everything else is... Do what you want, I'll find the enemy before poeple do on average anyway...

I only strictly want spawns to be controlled on targets objective, the rest can be anything

I have a decent understanding of common spawn points, so I avoid those locations at the start of each wave. Sometimes I still find myself in situations where a teammate will warn me that I'm about to mess up a spawn point. If that happens I happily move because I don't mind if other players like controlling spawns.

Don't have much preference myself. I just like to run around killing things. ^_^

Objective waves are a bit different. My focus shifts to controlling spawns without much killing and covering those doing objectives.

Honestly I just try to block the spawns at the team's rear or flank. I've spent whole games by Rio's extraction point while the team held the centre (stupid IMO), just so that nothing suddenly popped up behind them and drilled 'em. Same for any map.

I can block 2 or 3 locations that the team would be vulnerable from by parking next to one while looking down direct line of sight to another. Anything that does appear in front of me, well... some people know what happens. B)

This pretty much.

For the most part I can adapt.  But borking the spawns on glacier and white kind of gets under my skin for some reason.

That's a team player right there, not many players would do that. At least on Platinum such a thing is really valuable to the team and will make the game go a lot faster and smoother.

When I migrated to xbox, I noticed that you guys stand in different places to control spawns (weirdos) so I messed up a lot of spawns in the beginning, and I still do a lot of the time.

I'm used to a certain way, and it's not that I'm too stubborn to change my ways, it's just that I don't know where you want me to stand instead :(

I think it's different from player to player as well and also sometimes it depends on what class you are using. For instance, if I do Jade/Reapers/Gold with my GI Claymore I have a different spawn preference than if I would do Jade/Cerberus/Gold with a SI Black Widow.

Sometimes we say in the party "Ohh God, that random is messing up the spawns again!", but let us be honest, how is he supposed to know what we are trying to do if we don't even tell him about it?

I don't really have spawn preferences. I take my teammates whereabouts into consideration and adjust my position accordingly to control the spawns.

I don´t care, depending on where my teammates are I choose a path. I do have certain starting points that I like to use on each map.

I try my best to screw the spawn up if I saw anyone pulling out a missile before the start of a wave.

... but how else are you supposed to get that ugly thing off your back? :P

I usually try to cover everyone, but what can I say... People are stupid... (89 percent of them actually).

Or I'd rush to beat them to the spawn and nuke it instead. That'll learn em.

How do you know they're not intentionally screwing up the spawns? ;)

IDK about best positions but I think I have definite preferences on where I do not want the enemy to spawn.

Just use a Juggernaut. At the start of a match go to the nearest spawn point, by the time you get there the rest of the team has already taken care of the first one, and now you suddenly find yourself standing in the middle of the second spawn and it's all yours. At least for a few seconds :)

Best used with Deerber :D

I think that we need a new era. MLP is stale as ****, from this day now on I'm gonna volify things.

As for spawn etiquette, I have none. If you keep pressing right you'll meet some goombas anyway

That would mean lowering yourself to their level, though. I never do that. If I nuke something, it's with a precise reason. Most of the times it's rage XD
