This is just a piece of advice if you hadn't thought of it already. Though I have many different characters in DA:O (Dalish, Human, Dwawrf, Mage), I usually play each of them out without romance until I finish all of the treaty quests- right up to before you go with Arl Eamon to the Landsmeet. I then make sure I have all the companion quests underway before heading to the Landsmeet. Then I save it.
I then proceed to use that save to romance whoever I like without having to do the fade over and over. Or Orzammar. I will have to do the Landsmeet and final battle over and over for the epilogue, but it's better for me to do that than doing entire games over and over again.
Let me know if you need clarification on what I mean by this. I'm finding it difficult to put what I mean into words.
