If they are bringing on new characters in DA I, I would like to see the end story of iona's orphaned daughter. It would be a great opportunity to show her grown up into a battle hardened warrior bent out of shape over her mothers death . that would be better than dragging knight captain Cullen through another game. what do you think?

"End story"
What story? Iona was at Highever, meaning only so many players saw/knew her, she gets killed, and then waaay later in the game if you happen to walk around the Denerim Alienage you'll find out her orphaned daughter is wondering when mommy's coming home.
Thats it. It was a little reference to your potential origin story really late in the game, but thats all it was.
They could make a story out of it, but there isn't one preexisting.

I don't think I ever completed a single one of my human noble playthroughs, but I like nods like that. I like it about as much as I like the idea of Charade Amell's reappearance, which is to say, very muchIf they are bringing on new characters in DA I, I would like to see the end story of iona's orphaned daughter. I would like to see her again. Like how the elf girl in DA2 you save in Act 1 can become a Guard in Act 3.
Personally, I want to see Athenril again.
She I would love to have as an Agent for the Inquisition.

Huh, really? Since when can mages become guardsmen?

seen a lot of movies that start out the same way. A character's parents are killed, life becomes harsh, said character becomes galvanized or demoralized by the whole experience. It could happen but probably wont.

Was there a cut quest surrounding Amethyne? It always felt weird to me that you couldn't do anything to help her. ![]()

Same. She's probably one of my favorite characters in DAII (that aren't companions I mean). Unfortunately, some people probably killed her.
Of course.... there is Varric being an unreliable narrator....

She definitely seems like a perfect character you could bring back. Has got good backstory and it would be interesting to see what direction her life went.

The thing that always seemed a bit odd to me was that her name was coloured yellow. I my first playthrough I thought that I somehow missed a side quest that involved her, of course later I learned that I was wrong, but still. Why colour the name of a minor npc who doesn't have a side quest or is involved in one, why not leaving it white like the generic "elf", "human", "citizien", etc?

I was just thinking how much I wanted to see that one random elf who just happened to be the daughter of a minor NPC who died 10 minutes into the game

I just don't see the point in having her make a cameo. I mean, it's not like she's the only one in Origins that has problems. If we had a quest for everyone who did, we'd have one longass game.

Personally, I like the odd, unexpected NPC showing up.
I certainly wouldn't be opposed to Amethyne showing up. You'd probably have 99.5% of players frantically googling her trying to remember where they heard that name... ![]()

As much as this idea intrigues me, as somebody once said, this isn't Dragon Age:Origins, the Extended cut ending
