Given that they haven't shown it; Presumably that means we won't be able to switch outside of combat. Meh

In the meantime, this scene from Origins was pretty great:

I had to laugh at convenient it was that Batman had those shock gloves and gained that bring back to life idea from Electrocutioner.
He was literally a walking plot device.
I still don't know where that "250. Charging!" came from.

I still don't know where that "250! Charge1" came from.
I think from Bruce's parents.

Most likely flashbacks to the incident with his parents.

Pity it wasn't accompanied by a brief flashback cutscene too. I think he hears the same when resuscitating Bane, if memory serves.

Live action trailer for the Arkham Knight!
Well, it looks like Scarecrow had Hush remove his nose, and possibly even parts of his lips if you manage to freeze frame the video at the right spot at 1:12. I still have no idea how he has the "dead eyes" though, since I doubt he's blind.
In short, with his mask his face looks like a skull.

Gotta say a few things, since I've been hyping this game since it was announced.
1) Be The Batman trailer is cringeworthy.
2) The whole militia thing and story premise sounds like the opposite of what makes Batman a great super hero.
3) The scriptwriter is Martin Lancaster who wrote... Crysis and Crysis 2, and a Killzone game.
4) The story will probably suck big time.
5) The gameplay looks intact but with additions that's sure to spice it up and make it fun again
6) The Batmobile is sure to bring in some new interesting puzzles
7) It's a new Arkham game from Rocksteady and Origins wasn't even that bad.
So pretty much it has the appeal of City but with, most likely, a terrible story, so it loses 50% of what made City so enjoyable to me.
If AK is 8 hours long like City, the story is garbage, Batmobile is 50% of the gameplay etc. then the game is gonna be a huge letdown.
There's also the whole season pass for 40 bucks. **** that. I\m boycotting that ****.

You forgot the crucial parts of no Paul Dini or Arleen Sorkin. Tara Strong makes me want to pull out my thumbs.
I don't see how the length of the game will be the deciding factor as to whether it's garbage or not, I'd say it's whether they are gonna jam the narrative with random mooks from Batman's rogues gallery, hardly dwelling on each of them before moving on the next one. THey are already bringing all the old ones instead of giving the spotlight for some new ones.. Blergh
Arkham Origins was a load of ******.. but the Freeze DLC was alright, if only because it followed Paul Dini's written backstory for the character quite well.

Killzone: Shadow fall, a pretty fail game and this comes from a Killzone fan.

Another trailer, another really painful session of writing.
"It's time to go to war".
In any way I see it that's just so un-Batman-y to say that.
Gameplay looks neat and I think this is finally legit the PS4 version the're showing.

The lack of Arleen Sorkin and Kimberly Brooks is also a shame. The combat seems as sharp as ever so that's promising. I definitely preferred the tighter designed of Arkham Asylum over the open world of Arkham City.
I'm cautious about the game for certain, as there are plenty of things about Knight that have made me a bit disappointed.

I feel the same way, I'm going to rent this when it comes out and then buy the Game of the Year edition because of all the DLC. I think that it was a mistake for them to let Paul Dini go, though I guess time will tell.

Eurogamer put out a good preview (sorry if this is old news) and it kind of reinforces some of my skepticism towards the scale and scope of the story and the general direction, but it also confirms that a lot of old favorites like the cryptographic sequencer still has its use and such:

It's a very Dark Knight Returns-ish line.
