I love the part where he tells people to install the lastest drivers.

Because thats obviously something people didn't think of.

Developers always treat gamers like they are idiots who can't figure stuff out themselves.

Next thing, they'll start recommending players to check if their systems are properly connected to an energy source (a.k.a. did you forget to plug it in?).

Shame the momentum always stops before the final game. That's how I felt about Uncharted, Jak & Daxter and Mass Effect too which were all trilogies. (Uncharted 4 is a different beast lol)

Unless people think the ending is the defining low point of the game, I doubt this is comparable. ME3 for its polarizing story conclusion hasn't been plagued by stability issues like this.

Mass Effect 3 again? Lol no - Arkham Knight is great. It's as fun as it should be.

I'm saying people said ME3 sucked because of its endings (which isn't my personal opinion, although I agree the endings are lacklustre compared to the rest of the game) and that other people say Arkham Knight sucks because the game isn't running stable.

People say both suck, but for different reasons.

If anything, I'd compare it to Battlefield 4, which was likewise plagued by stability issues at launch, despite being a good game if it worked.

at some point with all of batman's gadgets and money, he might as well be an edgy version of Superman.

Except this time we saw it coming... right? Aw, c'mon guys! > :D

Nah, I'm trying my best to avoid the excessive negativety get to me. With ME3 I was on the frontlines of whining about every possible thing but this time I feel like I'm being kind of apologetic for this because I have **** expectations for its plot and use of Batmobile but I find it to be enjoyable.

I made my friend buy it today and watched him play it at his house for a couple of hours. He didn't seem impressed, and said "I hope the plot is better than what I've played so far" when he ended his sitting. That was before ACE chemicals. I told him "I don't think the plot is gonna be a lot better than that" but I hope I'm wrong. I just don't want another game where all we can talk about is everything that's wrong with it. I'm negative enough as it is lol and I just want this game to be good.

That's my mindset too. But it sucks you have to be so apathetic towards games nowadays. I find that in general I just can't properly hype games anymore and I've started feeling that way ever since ME3 bombed.

BATMAN, dc universe's greatest detective everybody.

Yes, the same chemical plant Crane has owned and operated for years even though he's been incarcerated in Arkham who knows how many times.

Arkham Staff 1: Uh-oh, Dr. Crane has escaped again we better go tell Batman.

Arkham Staff 2: Yeah, Batman will track him down. I wonder where Dr. Crane will go?

Arkham Staff 1: He totally won't go to the chemical plant that he's owned and operated for years.

Arkham Staff 2: Yeah, Batman will have his hands full tracking him down this time.

Why hasn't GCPD quarantined the site, placed guards around it, or why hasn't the city demolished it?

Anyways, to anyone that has played the game how is John Noble's portrayal of Scarecrow?

maybe this is us as gamers maturing. flashy lights and hype cant blind us from questionable track records anymore.

"We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards."

Has that ever happened to a AAA game before?

They must have gotten their ass belted by the refund scheme. Amazing how that simple action (that should've been there from the beginning) has made developers so much more accountable.

I hope they come back with a better game. It'll be awfully convenient if they re-release the game next week, thereby whitewashing all their negative reviews with a different storefront entry, but this is still significant.

I don't think I've seen any company do this with a AAA game before. Works as an incentive for them to patch it up ASAP.

That's probably it, but at this point it's not going to change anything.

They'll just have all of the people who posted the negative reviews repost them on the new store page, and they will continue to do so even when the game is fully functional on PC.

they can turn off comments or outright remove posts or ban people from posting. Remember that. They dont care about making amends, all they care about is not looking bad.
