That's all well and good but no mention of how the game hogs RAM? Also, mandatory Riddler trophies..boooo!
I think they referred to RAM when they said "system memory".
Atleast, I hope so.

So, I finished Arkham Knight.
Pretty good. Substantially better than Origins. But that's not like it's hard. Origins sucked.
Just need to find those firefighters and Riddler crap. Which I don't feel like doing.

It was a slogging glitchy mess that dropped anything interesting (Deathstroke gets taken out in the first hour by a early in career Batman? Gtfo) to focus on Joker and his crush on Batman. It was the lamest thing ever.
Wiggity wack as the kids might say.

The whole portrayal of a Young Batman essentially being an angry Chris Redfield was also obnoxious, didn't care much for how Joker was written either.. and it's a shame with how the Arkham games has treated Black Mask
Lazily copy pasted environment, inconsistencies all over the place in regards to the timeline and Joker's meeting with Harley Quinn and Batgirl etc.

I actually liked Origins alot.
Makes two. Do bear in mind I played it a year after launch so it was probably a better version (and even then it still has some bugs).

Played it for quite awhile now. The Batmobile ruins the game. Plain and simple. I am getting a GTA feel from this game, and not a superhero feel at all. The car seems forced and tacked on.
The rest of the game is great.

What, they tread all over Black Mask again in Knight? I was kind of hoping it'd be the chance to make up for what happened in Origins (where I did in fact want him to be the actual villain), but I guess not then.

And I'm not kidding, I think the Batmobile adds something interesting to the game, and after city and origins it was time for something beyond the predator gameplay. Perhaps next time we can go Batman Beyond?

This game lacks the cool bossfights of city and origins. Such a shame. And the batmobile has too much of a role in this game.

City just has Mr. Freeze, and Origins had Wimpy Deathstroke.
No other bosses in those games were anything special.
Arkham in general has pretty weak bossfights that are either boring (Ivy, Bane, Ra's, Grundy, Clayface, Firefly, Titan Joker) or one of those stupid "Spam a bunch of mooks since we were too lazy to program the boss better" (Origins Bane (And of course that fight has to get repeated like ten times in the game), Copperhead,Titan Joker, and the other Origins fights)
I loved the batmobile. It's the best part of the game by far.
Don't understand what people were expecting when the Batmobile was first announced.
Of course it'll have alot of focus. It's the goddamn Batmobile. Aside from the Batarang it is easily the most iconic thing Batman uses. If Origins was any indication you can't just keep shitting out the same game with no changes whatsoever (Least COD and AsC do different, if terrible stuff). I mean, I guess Origins had those skins...that no one wanted to use since they scraped the bottom of the barrel for them. I mean I like the New 52 suit alot. But you can't have one that's slightly shinier than the other you french nitwits.
Anyway, my point is. Asylum was the Metroid game. City was the Zelda game. Origins was crap. And Knight is the goddamn Batman game I have wanted for years.

Wasn't Deathstroke originally a villain for the Teen Titans?
If he consistently got beat by a group of teenagers (including one of the Robin's if I recall correctly), I don't see why a young Batman wouldn't be able to take him down.

He takes out the Flash (and most of the Justice League at that point) by standing still.
I am not making this up.
Not to mention the Titans still had trouble doing so, and most of them are Metahumans aside from Red Arrow and Nightwing.
Deathstroke The Goddamn Terminator is one of the best fighters in the DC Universe. He should've been a Recurring threat throughout the game. Not shoved aside in the first hour.

I'm not a fan of any DC villain but it was a bit jarring how a young Batman could take on so many foes so early in his career. Having said that, it did in no way diminish my enjoyment of the game. Is this the reason why people hate it with a passion?

One of my favorite DC characters getting the shaft AGAIN is certainly one of them (I'll give Knight the credit that he actually got to stay around longer. And I like the Cobra Tank fights anyway)
Say whatever about The Electrocutioner at least he stuck around!

There has been presented plenty of other reasons for people dislike it here -- In a lot of ways, it seems to have this BioShock 2-feel to it, where a very vocal group of people holds it over the its sibling entries despite its overall mediocre design.

Come to think of it -- The Riddler's riddles and trophies are definitely the worst in Origins. Once you've actually accumalated enough of your precious time in tracking them all down, he's like "Congratulations Batman, now if you'll excuse me I have to prepare my next set for the Asylum. Bye". It just ends.. he doesn't even catch him, Batman just lets him off the hook as opposed to tracking down his position "I'll catch him tomorrow, or something". In the other games you at least had the satisfaction of taking him down for all the busy-work trouble but here... nothing. So why even bother at all, right?

Oh, and of course they couldn't help but reuse a lot of the same villains from the previous games again -- Penguin, again, just as uninteresting and annoying as ever, Mad Hatter is back but this time his boss fight (or whatever you wanna call it) is a copy-pasted version of the Scarecrow sections from Asylum because much like the overall attitude to the entire game is that the design team simply "couldn't be arsed" to actually present something new and exciting.
And I simply cannot fathom the whole mindset of how Batman is supposedly meeting 50% of his rogues gallery for the first time in a single night? Much like the handlement of the timeline in general it just doesn't make any sense along with the retcons/changed backstory to the Joker and Harley in contrast to what was established in Asylum.
Much like the Star Wars prequels, or just the concept of prequel in general, is the approach towards awkwardly shoehorned chance encounters with previously established characters, simply to say they are there even if doesn't make much sense.
The long lasting relationship between the Joker & Batman condenses years of animosity into only a few hours in Arkham Origins.. like what?!

Well the dialogue/stories was never really that great in any of the Arkham games. I'd say the only part where the dialogue was noteworthy would be the interview tapes that you could collect throughout Asylum/City (I don't recall if Origins had them).
We did. It's not an Interview Tape, but an Extortion Tape. You get them when collecting all the Enigma Datapacks in that area. (10 IIRC).

Agree 100%. I was just thinking that, in fact. In Origins I gathered every single data pack hoping I would get to confront Riddler at the end and what did I get for all my troubles? Nothing. At least in Knight there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Whether getting there is any good is another matter.

I just beat it 100%. Those last 10 minuts was reminiscent of another final 10 minutes I shall not name, but regardless the actual plot resolution was nice enough and the ending felt long and elaborate enough until that extra bit at the end, whatever that was lol, to feel conclusive enough and satisfying enough.
Awesome game. Not sure it tops City in my book, but the story was worthy IMO... there are just a few jarring issues with it but I could enjoy it regardless of its flaws.
Just one thing I don't get though:
