Actually, he's gone on record saying he likes Batman and Arkham 1 & 2, specifically the former being his GOTY at the time. He doesn't hate all comics either.

But I'm definitely looking forward to it too

His Injustice Review was horrible.

The tangent he goes on about how making the Reigme a parallel universe was a cop-out makes me want to punch him right in his fedora wearing face.

 

I think maybe I'm just starting to lose my patience with internet reviewers.

Also, I gotta agree on the Batmobile which seems to be the large recurring negative of Arkham Knight for a lot of people -- It handles like a fridge on a rollerskate with its weird concepts of physics as the slightest contact with a firehydrant causes it to skip and flip on its back or generally spin out of control -- It's combat mechanics feels preposterously slow and disjointed, where said pacing is meant to complement the heavily telegraphed attacks from enemy drones -- all of them about as unsubtle as a cat in a dog show. Thinking about it -- Most of the actual optional challenges are generic unfun races with the Batmobile or combat sections, ranging from destroying tanks, to fighting off more tanks as you defend an exploding mine within a small terrain of space... while shooting tanks. Like where is my good old fashioned Challenge mapes with Predator and combat rooms for all of the playable characters? Rocksteady also had this brilliant idea of having the reverse controls tied to the square button for some reason which only aggravates things further. It's irritating how a lot of the game is forced sections of having to control the Batmobile along with those trial and error riddler races. The predator stealth sections and combat is what it is fun about the Arkham games, not navigating  It's like GTA IV all over again.

Sleeping Dogs did the combat better (Because Wei had more weight to him. Not hopping around like a Bat-Ballerina), and I never liked the Predator sections too much.

There's nothing wrong with the combat system though -- In fact, it's better than ever and more fun. The fear takedowns are an excellent addition to the already fun Predator gameplay-sections.

Am I the only one that thought Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy had bad lightsaber combat?

Both those games felt like flailing simulators, could never get into them.

 

But I also think Republic Commando is the best Star Wars game ever made, so what do I know.

It's fun to jump out of and glide the rest of the way so I can avoid driving it for too long.
