I don't think so. Arkham Knight suppose to be a new character, created by Rocksteady.

 

We all know its gonna be Joker back from the dead who reveals himself in the end.

Highly unlikely but fingers still crossed that the delay will mean that we can see challenge maps of Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman….and (super fingers crossed) co-op multiplayer.

I just hope that at least one of those characters, the ones that aren't Robins, will be playable in the story. I still believe in Batgirl!

I'd prefer Stephanie Brown since I liked her character a lot before they decided to literally throw her out of the window in the comics, and Cain is a mute anyway.  I mean, I'm glad Batman doesn't open his trap every 5 minutes like Spidey, but he doesn't have to shut up all the time.

My first response to this news was disappointment followed immediately by anger but now that I've thought about it for a while I don't mind, I've become sick and tired of publishers releasing all their AAA games at the run up to Christmas, they should spread these releases around the year more. I'm Also not going to say no to more time spent polishing Arkham Knight, Arkham Origins on the 360 was an unplayable mess, I had to trade it in after 2 days due to its constant crashing and my save file getting corrupted.

As for the identity of the Arkham Knight, I think it could be:

Thomas Wayne Jr. Bruce Wayne's younger brother first introduced in the City of Owls, Court of Owls and Night of Owls storyline.

I was thinking that the Arkham Knight might be someone unpredictable like

Dick Grayson. I figured that he and the Batman had a major falling out that would be explained in game. What is interesting to note is the fact that Dick Grayson isn't Nightwing in the comics anymore, he is now a secret agent for an organization called Spyral and he has a gun (although he currently uses it like a batarang).

However, the leaked video I saw makes me think that he and the Arkham Knight are different because of the way the Arkham Knight acts:

 

 

 

Edit: Dang, it got removed since I last saw it. The quality was crap anyway, it was of the Ace Chemical factory demo that the gaming press got to see.

I honestly doubt they will, I mean both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City followed the older canon, it wouldn't make much sense for a sequel to both of those games to follow a different set of canon. I guess we might see a couple of New 52 villains, but I doubt it, they still have some cool old school villains (like Hush, Prometheus, and especially Scar Face who they have been teasing forever) to touch upon and it wouldn't be wise to overcrowd the game and diminish all the villain's roles. The only thing I am super worried about is the

I do hope that Rocksteady will take cues from Origins in regards to Bane though; as unlikely as it might seem  .

 

Bane is so much more than a meat headed jock on super steroids.

I thought that the Joker had used his Joker Toxin on him, but hadn't perfected it yet, so it had only put him in a comatose state instead of killing him and leaving a smile like intended. When I thought of that, I realized the Joker was posing as Black Mask. Honestly, the whole Arkham Series has been about Batman and the Joker.

I wouldn't mind him returning in the sense of flashbacks or an illusion caused by the Scarecrow's fear gas, but I don't want him to in the flesh or as a clone, although it would be hilarious if they cloned him and the clone was sane.

Agreed! Bane should have been the main villain in Origins. I loved his characterization there.

I hope the Arkham Knight is either Hush or a new character. Someone close to Bruce Wayne. I think they should end the Arkham trilogy on a personal note.
