Can't stay to chat, but I checked David Gaider's tumblr this morning and saw that visual development artist Andy Bennet has drawn the companions for each of the Dragon Age games, including Inquisition.

I don't know if they're actually our companions or not, judging from the look of them they they've all been featured in concept art. Either way everyone should check out the blog. The images have me speculating again.

Keep in mind, I don't think he actually has any affiliations with Bioware and he could have very well just picked that line up from the leaked shots and other concept art we've seen.

Mm, I said that in my post ^^

It doesn't look like Andy is a Bioware person. This looks more like a fan is posting his desire for what the Inquisition companions would be, rather than anything official.
I do really like the way that he's redesigned all of the characters so that they match the visual style for what different organizations were redesigned to look like in DA2. My favourite is the way Sten looks like a hornless Qunari, rather than a beast of a man.

Very cool and fun, not very educational. (In my opinion)

The male human mage seems cool. Permanent party member for me if he's real.

It's Sigrun. He lumped DAO and DAA together.

If you check out his blog you can see that he's speculating based on the concept art thats already been released. Looks like pretty decent speculation though - I'd be kinda surprised if any of them didn't end up being a companion.

If this ends to be the actual line up of companions, there would be 3 women and 6 men...a bit unfair, I think. :?

Maybe they could get rid of that nondescript, bald elf at the end. Replace him with a Dwarven woman. I'd take two Dwarves over two Elves any day.

Man, I hope that's not the final line-up. Way too many dicks on the dance floor.

Completely agreed. Especially since, logically, only one female character would be unromanceable in that case. Pretty silly.

Definitely hoping for 5-4 in either direction.

Yes, a dwarven female companion would be appreciated. :)
I could also do without Cullen. :P

Yes, it would be a bit jarring to say the least. Besides, the previous games managed to not make the party a sausage fest, I don't see why would they start doing it now. I hope that's not the final line up.

Who's the guy with the trident?

I was thinking maybe Dorian, a Tevinter magister mentioned in the survey, but we've heard nothing about him since.

The accuracy of the clothes for all the characters is amazing. They all seem legitimate.

I feel like Cullen looks the most out of place, and this is coming from someone who actually likes Cullen as a character, but then again, I'm more fascinated with what the life of an actual templar vs a former one is like, you know, coming from both the laxed Ferelden Circle to the highly twisted Circle in Kirkwall, vs Alistair who never became a full fledged templar. I mean, we have so much on the circle of magi, yet we get very little of the templars outside of the 'kill them robes' mentallity. Who knows for certain who the other six(seven if DLC character exists) companions are outside of Bioware, we'll wait and see. For now, I'm just gonna sit here and enjoy the cool ass fanart. :)

Hm. Interesting. I love the redesigns for the older characters. Especially Sten.

He seems to be missing a few characters.

He didn't do all of them because he was constrained by the number of days he had to do the project, and so he did his favorite ones. He did miss a few though.

I don't know, I think it would only be unfair if there were an uneven number of love interests. As long as each character is interesting I don't really care if there's more men than women or vice versa. It would be unusual though since previous games have kept it pretty even.

Replace Cullen with Scribe Lady and that's pretty much who I think are going to be our companions in DA:I.  The Orlesian-looking guy with the trident also has a sword on his back in the leaked survey concept art, so I'm thinking he's probably not a mage.
