Is it just me or Cullen looks like Alistair?

There were rampant theories that Cullen could be Maric's third son by Fiona once upon a time I recall. Then the third Theirin's existence was debunked, so no more of that.

I think the Grey Warden may be one. Though maybe I only think that because of the hawk he's carrying around. He's not as heavily armored as Cullen or Cassandra, nor a hulking berserker type like Iron Bull. *shrug* I could be wrong. I originally thought mustache guy was a rogue.

Serious guys whats the deal about that we get only 3 females in the party?
Have you already forgotten DAO? Morrigan, Leliana, Wynne. Also 3 females!!!
Let see Cassandra is the new Morrigan or sort of, Vivienne is the next circle mage after Wynne, Iron Bull is the Anti Sten, Cullen is a real templar compared to Alistair, Varric is a better Oghren, elven bard mage is like Zevran a elven male, Sera is not human but she is also female.
Only the Grey Warden is an exception because he is no Dog.

I don't think they are complaining about having three females, it is the comparison to the amount of females vs the amount of males. In DAO, you had three females as you mentioned but you had four males - Alastair, Sten, Ogrhen and Zevran - so the ratio was 3 females to four males. Plus when you add in Shale, while a golem, you find out that Shale used to be a female dwarf and could argue that there is a 1:1 ratio in gender. If what the artist speculation is true, there will be a 2:1 ratio (or six males vs three females) and it would seem a little male heavy. I personally doubt that everyone on the survey is a companion that travels with you forever, but I could be wrong. If the past games are any indication it would seem that they usually opt for closer gender ratios and would have five males and four females or vice versa and have a DLC companion being a filler for the 1:1 ratio. I also believe scribe girl will be your Chambers/Treynor and not actually a fighting companion.

That being said, the artist designs are super rad - I love the details he chose to go with as well as some of his post DA2 designs for older characters (Oghren in GW garb). I am sad that Wynne isn't pictured as if have loved to see what he would have done with her.

The art is really nice but I think it's a bit unbalanced to be a right guess for the companions.

 

I strongly suspect the trident guy is gone given that he only appears in very old concept art.

Also I'm not sure about Iron bull. He's definitely an important character but I think it's a bit suspicious that he's only shown alone in all the concept art and screenshots. I think it's likely he's more like the Arishok in DA2.

Replace the trident guy we haven't seen since the questionnaire from way back with a female Dwarf and that's what I'm thinking the roster will be at the moment. It's pretty good artwork, and I like the artists take on DA's style.

I like this set of companions too. Of course I wouldn't complain if one of the guys was swapped out for a girl, but even as is I think we've got a decent variety of characters.

Might be being dumb, but perhaps there'll be less restrictions on weapons & armour for different classes?
I assumed he was a rogue because of the bird - like the Ranger specialisation in Origins.

Though I like the fanart, I hope that doesn't end up being the actual party. Too many warriors, and I must admit I'd rather Cullen wasn't part of it. Not because I don't like him. He's cool, but I personally believe he would be better as an important NPC, like Morrigan and Leliana seem to be. An ideal party for me would be one with three of each class. My bets are on warriors being Cassandra, Grey Warden, and Iron Bull; mages being Vivienne, Bald Elf Guy, and Mustache Guy; and Varric, Sera, and Cole as rogues. I'm pretty confident on at least most of the people in that least being accurate guesses.

I think they're going with warriors can equip sword and shield or two handed weapons, rogues can use bows and dual daggers and mages the usual staff. I might be wrong, though.

Probably... it'd be nice to have warriors being able to do dual weapons and bows like in Origins though. I liked my dual axe-wielding warrior warden! He kicked butt!

I liked that too, and as I said, I might be wrong. After all they haven't really said a lot about what each class can do/equip/etc.
