There is a little button in the Post Edit box above the text window: it is the far-left-top button - it has no tool-tip - it also locks the tool box.
click it and your edit tools come back to life and entry text goes back to standard font and style.

well - following the implied tangent - we can no longer edit topic titles to say [solved] anymore

As far as I can tell, no.
