Anyone have any current tips on patching nwn2?
I had heard the patching that came with the game is not working anymore?
I had to reinstall for a new OS and have all the patches downloaded. Is there an auto downloader/installer out there?
Thanks
PJ

i think there is a link to a patcher on the vault where they keep the individual patches for each language
from memory it allows multi-patching but is termed in the readme as "fallible" to some extent and could potentially fudge your install
when i had to use it (I have the gog version now with disks for back up) the smaller patches piggybacked ok - but i never tested the 'limits' of the patcher
sorry, i dont have a link.
dont forget to do a copy from the MoTB disk of the 'huge' voiceover file - ferget the exact name - just manually plop that into the install dir - from memory that works fine. but i guess since you already have downloaded it, it doesnt matter how it gets 'ploped' in there ![]()

it has been updated since my need for it - perhaps the multi-patcher is tighter now ![]()

Reinstalled the game few weeks ago and the autopatcher worked.
If you have the patches you can dump the .zips into game folder and run the official updater to install them.
My experience with it has been bad. I am going to download the patched game again I think. I started a patch and it stalled, then crashed. I reinstalled the game and now the toolset does not work (it did before). I went on with patching anyway and it stalled and error messaged me again.
All in all not a good evenings work.
I see px1 patches and Px2 I guess these are the two expansions?
What order should I take these in currently I am going numerical from my current version?
PJ
Just as an addition, I am very grateful to all who support the community so I am grateful for the updater/patcher. However, that is the worst set of instructions I have come across in a long time.

hmmm, maybe not a newer version. but it worked fine 1 at a time - i used to have the patches saved on a USB; just the ones that worked and got me to 1.23. Wish i'd've saved it - i also had a text file with the correct order for having all expansions.
i do remember that one sure fire way was to install the OC, fully patch, install MoTB fully patch then Soz with the revevant px* files.
or - for 10 20 smackerinos you never have to worry about it again 8)
I could try the patch each one method, or i could just pay GoG $19.99. I did not know there were patches in that lot that did not work?
Thanks for the help,
PJ

Ya, they werent 'bad' per se, but there was a specific order which skipped certain px versions for patching a full install (SoZ). I am verily sure i got the list from the web.
anyway, hopefully by the time this post reaches your timezone you are fully downloaded and operational once more ![]()
