He could have. But by the looks of it, it is shorter than ME 1.
Op him/herself said that they did a very quick run. Didn't stop for all the other content.
Evil Chris says that it personally takes him twice the time to complete ME2 than it did for him to complete ME1. Also, ME2 contains 11,000 more lines of dialogue than the original, so i do not know how you are coming to your particular conclusion.
I'd rather listen to a normal gamer than a Bioware employee. <_<
