I played the games backwards: I bought DA2 by chance, knowing nothing, then bought DA Ultimate that came with Origins and Awakening. I was so happy that in DAO I could access all my companions via the party camp, unlike in DA2 where the only way to see my companions equipment was to swap them in and out of my party directly. It was such a hassle to have to check every new item against what everyone had equiped to see if it needed to be sold or not.

So my suggestion would be to reindroduce that dynamic so that somewhere, doesn't matter where, I can access all my companions again :)

Yes! One thing that bothered me in DA2 was that I couldn't access the other party member's inventory while at Hawke's estate. It was a huge oversight considering Hawke's estate was where all the crafting was done. I would like this to be remedied in Inquisition.

I agree and I believe there will be some sort of dynamic where all our companions will be together. Certainly I'm hoping.

Another point about the party camp in DAO: I've been playing on the PS3 recently and was reminded how clumsy the map was compared to the pc when choosing your next location. Moving the mouse to point and click is definitely smoother than scrolling up/down/sideways to get to the icon on the map and then click. It occurred to me that since the party camp is the one place we will go to frequently there should have been a one click option, like R2 to go straight to camp. Maybe this couldn't be helped because of programming issues for the console and I accept that. But if we are going to have a similar situation in DAI then maybe the consoles can have that one-click feature.

I presume we'd be able to access and modify all of our companions equipment at inquisition keeps (certainly hope so).

Ooooh I'd love a return of the camp-like area mostly to talk to and get to know my companions in a relaxed setting. That was the one thing I missed in DA2.

It would be nice to have the group in one place again. be it a camp or stronghold.

It is confirmed that there will be a location where all your companions are located. I'm not sure if it will be an actual camp or a building though. A Bioware employee confirmed this about 32 minutes into the podcast "Making Your Mark" by Nerd Appropriate. I posted this in my True Rumors of DA:I thread.

It's been talked about in other places than that aswell, but yes we will have one major camp/castle/whatever it is along with our secondary bases where everyone is available for you to talk to. We will be able to change oue gear, get our weapons and armour customized and have our people craft your weapons, armour, potions and do other things.

I assumed your keep would act as a party camp, with you literally getting to camp when on the road.
