The topic at hand is about Tali being alledged a flawed character due to her racism. So we go forth and try to prove/disprove it. Even if it isn't essential to find out, it can still be interesting to talk about. First time I've seen this subject brought up myself.
It isn't that we are offended and emotionally respond like it is some unheard of accusation. We have interest for the subject and like any other discussion, decide to participate.
If you don't want to partake, that's fine.

Not many people talk about how poorly the Quarians are treated in the eyes of the other races. That's something cool about romancing Tali. The savior of the universe's gf is from a race that is treated as 2nd hand citizens.

They couldn't help but have brought it upon themselves when they created & lost control of the geth, though. They sentenced themselves to infamy for their AI doings and the councils' decision to exile them from citadel space only cemented an already concrete stigma.

I mean, Tali is totally a huge racist in ME1. But nobody's perfect. I would dislike Tali if she hadn't realized she was being a huge hypocrite and, in a way, earned her need for an envirosuit.
But now that the quarians realized they were wrong, they shouldn't suffer from the old sins of their people.
