She was amazing...

Face the reality. You know people are getting old specially those who are 10 years older than you...

You should be looking for girls the same age as you or younger. It doesn't bother me looking for girls 10 years younger though! If they have some style and aren't hip-hop or pop enthusiasts...

San Andreas just looks like 2012, but with The Rock instead of John Cusack and Woody Harrelson.

I thought about the parallel to 2012, but in fairness, 2012 is basically a disaster salad. If you can think of a natural disaster, it probably turned it into a supervillain. So, really, San Andreas is just one of the first sequences of 2012 :P

So far my only outings this year are Ex Machina (very good), Avengers 2 and Fury Road (so chrome). I might go to see Jurassic Park World, though with each expanded trailer my heart sinks a little bit, but I'm definitely catching Star Wars at the end of the year.

Is San Andreas worth going to? I love Dwayne, especially in Fast and Furios - he just rocks (see what I did there? xD)! I went to see the last movie. Nobody stops a drone with an ambulance quite like he did :D
I also wanna go to Jurassic World, but I haven't seen the previous, as it turns out, three movies. But I'm not sure it's gonna be relevant to this one, except for the idea - Let's clone dinasour DNA and make amusement park, but also let's alter that DNA so the dinasours are smarter, WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
Did I get it right? :D

Best movie I watched in the past couple years. The entertainment density is off the damn charts. Thirty minutes of pure win! Yup, that youtube link is the whole movie. If it's blocked, you can also stream it via Steam here.

Watch it. NAOW!

Cannot judge San Andreas yet, but I have doubts. While I like disaster flics, The Rock, and lovely leading ladies, when CGI becomes so utilized that highly improbable stunts are commonplace, the FX become the focus; not the story. For me, this is the difference between the first trio of Star Wars films and the later ones, and is something that more films seem to do recently.

The original Jurassic park films are wondermous; highly recommended before seeing this next one. Also, check out the dino impersonations of Tom Hiddleston; hilarious!

The awesome TMNT (2007) for the second time.

teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-tmnt-movie-

It puts most of TMNT movies and series into shame! Awesome characters, story, voice actors and animation. Nuff said. 8/10

Troy.

Brad Pitt is smoking hot in that movie... just throwing that out there. There's something attractive about Brad Pitt with flowing locks of hair, carrying a sword while wearing a skirt. Feel free to judge me, I probably deserve it.

Got freakin' wasted and somehow talked my wife into watching a 'dumb old movie'.  She thought it was cool. Didn't mind my drunken quoting, either.

Peter Ferdinando does above average. Stephen Graham is always above par, and MyAnna Buring is a solid actress as well as pleasing eye candy. It is British, so don’t expect the standard Hollywood pretties, or scored background music.7/10

Ender's Game - though I never bought into the pre-15 yr old hero premise, this was better than I was led to believe. Nice to see some major actors willing to share camera time with kids. 7/10

In celebration of Bethesda's Fallout 4 announcement I started up Fallout: Nuka Break. It's a fan made parody of the popular Fallout New Vegas game. :)

Have not read the books; have not read much of anything since '96 or so due a lack of energy and desire. Maybe a fan will offer an answer.

Most people don't read the novels before going to watch the movies based on them.

The thought that the main focus of Cinema is the reader audience is wrong.

A movie made by and for Russell Crowe and he proves it. Good supporting actors telling a story of a time beyond my comprehension. 8,700 Australian soldiers died at Gallipoli. This is the story of one father looking for his sons. Some suspense of disbelief may be required. 8/10

I hold that there have been a couple of films I enjoyed more than the books: Carrie and Jaws. In most of the other cases, the books and imagination win every time.

Just saw it yesterday afternoon.

I thought it was pretty awful, and I went in with low expectations.

But the disaster flick has never been my favorite genre.

And I think Carla looks better now than 10 years ago.

She was amazing...
