It exceeded my expectations. 

Sure there was some fantastic action movie scenes and lots of things blew up, but the time travel plot was pretty good.  Sarah Connor is still a badass and I like that in this movie there was a theme of her taking power and making her own choices instead of following the one road she has to.  Or does she?  It's sort of hard to know when you mess around with time.  Does she or anyone have agency over their destinies, or is the future predetermined? 

Good movie.  Made me think.

The fighting scenes were horrible, the protagonists lacked physical endurance and the plot wasted too much time on emotions instead of taking action.

Is this Terminator Genisys the reboot people are talking about or it's Terminator 5?

It is Terminator 5 in that it starts sometime well after Salvation, and doesn't completely conflict with the facts from the other Terminator movies, except maybe how Reese met John in Salvation. It is however also a reboot because the time travel in Genisys messes with the timeline established in the first 4 movies substantially (which were themselves part of a new timeline).

WARNING: Also, if you go to watch it, stick around for the mid credit scene.

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"

 

The weakest installment in the series but still excellent

 

The Ministry of Magic decides to deny the dark lord's return and when Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) stops the teaching of actual magic Harry, Ron and Hermione rebel and form "Dumbledore's Army"

 

Harry begins having visions involving Voldemort and this leads to an epic confrontation between the Death Eaters and the good guys

 

of note as well the new character Luna Lovegood (played by Evanna Lynch)

 

of note as well a key point about the Ministry's cover up was omitted (the fact that the Minister had a Dementor suck out Barty Crouch Jr's soul so he couldn't confirm the dark one's return), apparently a choice on the filmaker's part

The Time Travel plot was a mess. Kyle and Sarah didn't have sex in 1984 in this movie....They go to the future, and John is still there. Grown up. Shouldn't be possible since they never made John now. Which basically should mean Skynet won, since there would be no JC around when J-day happened.

 

And Emilia Clarke sucks as SC. She blinks when firing a gun....Looks like someone cosplaying Sarah Conner.

 

A T-800 gets taken out by a sniper shot from a rifle. The T-1000 gets killed off easily, like a pimp.

 

It nullified the threats the terminators from T1 and 2 posed, really.

 

The writers of Dracula 3 should have paid more attention to the previous movies when they wrote the script for this one, I think. I have never seen a movie so riddled by plot holes.

 

The worst part is that it removes Terminator 1 and 2 from the timeline. Those movies got rendered pointless. A wiser move would have been to leave the great ones alone.

At least the Sarah Connor Chronicles only removed Terminator 3 from the timeline

 

plus it had Summer Glau  and...where was I......

The key with the show was the resistance still exists but doesn't know who John is because he skipped from 2008 to 2027

 

one could even say this might have been Weaver's plan all along or John Henry went WAY off the reservation

 

and Emilia Clarke and Jai Courtney have no chemistry at all btw

Jai was horrendously miscast, really. Reese comes from a future where they have to survive on eating rats. Jai looks like he eats nothing but protein powder, and spends his days at the local gym.

 

Biehn was perfect as Reese. The guy looked like a starved, tortured animal.

Yeah, I just watched the original Terminator and noticed the massive difference in the character. Reese from T1 was bar-coded and made to work in a death camp for humans until he was freed by John Connor. His picture of Sarah was burned during a Terminator infiltrator attack. He and the other resistance fighters were malnourished and lived in squalor in ruins. And once he time-travelled to the past, he was constantly covered in a sheen of sweat and having PTSD flashbacks of near death experiences.

Plus, he was intense. "He'll find her. That's what he does! THAT'S ALL HE DOES!"
