I'll admit that I'm a Marilyn Monroe fangirl (no, I'm not one of those dumb broads on your Facebook who use quotes she didn't even say to support their idiocy). Pretty damn good. But as far as MM films go, I always tell everyone to watch "Some Like it Hot". I think it's her best performance and one of the best comedies of the last century. "Niagara" is good too... of course it has one of the longest walking away scenes ever.
Might go on a Marilyn binge some time soon.
I love this one and How To Marry A Mllionaire......
But for me the eye candy was not just MM. I had my eyes on Jane Russell.. She was great in this. I just loved the whole movie...
My most recent movie was Collossus The Forbin Project. I watched it last Sunday and had to watch it again this last weekend. I just love this movie..

It's a great movie and everyone should watch this at least once..

Poldark; Another BBC Masterpiece. Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ruby Bentall do a fine representation in this period piece. Some filming in Cornwall. God, I love that country. 8/10
I started watching this too. I love it so far!

Every military back to the prehistoric has monopolized on the bond between dog and man. This is an American story of one dog coming home without his handler. You either like this kind of movie or you do not, so no need for a measure. We had a good cry.

22 Jump Street.
As always the first one is better, but the credits of 22 make the whole thing worth it.

A passably humorous super hero heist movie, with a plot that can't be taken too seriously. Nothing to complain about, but nothing terribly memorable.

Debating seeing Terminator Genisys
Just looking on IMDB and the forum for this movie has gone to the dogs
http://www.imdb.com/.../board/threads/
So much for good commentary... That board has gone bad.
Anyway yeah I am debating if the movie is worth it given most of the serious reviews have given me mixed feelings.

Personally disliked the former film anyway, so nothing here is of interest to me. But I do recommend watching the TV series with Summer Glau.

This decidedly human version of Sherlock Holmes (Ian McKellen) finds him retired to the English Countryside, post WWII, some 30 years after his last case, a case which forced him to leave his profession, but which he can't quite remember due to the slowly manifesting symptoms of senility. What unfolds is a touching story of pride, age, loss, and guilt, as a curmudgeonly Sherlock stubbornly remains aloof to his weary housekeeper (Laura Linney), becomes a mentor to her son Roger (Milo Parker), and discovers the limits that cold facts have to alleviate suffering, as he searches for some peace in his final years.
Now THIS is a how you do a damn sequel. Why couldn't they have filmed this in IMAX 3D?

Viola Davis, outstanding. Jennifer Lopez far beyond any performance I have ever seen her give. Shea Whigham and Andre Royo always deliver. I made the mistake of asking myself what I would do. This is one of the most frightening and stirring movies I have watched albeit an unlikely ending. Rated 2/5 at Rotten Tomatoes, I give 8/10 and if you are a mother that has thought about this, you may rate it higher.

"Inside Man"
Spike Lee's heist yarn with Denzel Washington playing a hostage negotiator dealing with a robbery orchestrated by a brilliant but egomaniacal mastermind (Clive Owen)
Jodie Foster and Christopher Plummer are key to a subplot that turns out to actually be the main plot
rare Lee film that he only directs (script by Russell Gerwitz)
still full of Lee's camera tricks
not perfect but very good

I happen to love that series to bits....
I actually wanted this movie to take the direction where Sarah Connor Chronicles had left off. That ended with a faction of friendly terminators wanting to end the war and John Connor arriving in the future with a Terminator guardian.
To me that's what I think they should have done..

Just went to ANT-MAN with my son. I personally liked it very much, despite the corny "Avengers scene" & somewhat cliched villain. It was entertaining and well-acted, especially Michael Pena who more or less steals the movie in my opinion. Funny and good mini-action scenes, with better pacing than AoU. *
The nods to the comics are there, as well as the mid & post-credits easter egg, the latter of which still has me scratching my head.
7.5/10

I wanted a horror movie that wasn't gory and that was creepy without being overly stereotypical, and this one was good. It's interesting. It is slow, but it's not dumb.

Gratitude. I had seen it before but I thought it was a behind the scenes stuff, that is, not a scene from the film itself.
