You should watch

It's very amusing!

lol.. yeah, screw that.

I just try to find whatever backlog of documentaries (real ones) I can find on netflix. Same with TV shows. The last time I looked at all of my old favorite channels (like history channel), it was abysmal. It seems like PBS the only place with decent programming still. Reality TV has ruined everything. Either that, or irrational superstitious/alien/mystical crap like you get on History.

If I took TV as a guide, then America is starting to seem as dumb and uneducated as Somalia or Iran lately.

It's ok. Not nearly as good as the first.

But it's got some good laughs.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

I liked it but some people might not like it since a lot of the reactions to the movie have been varied and it's not at the level of the last movie. 6.5/10

The Equalizer

It was a good movie, slow build up at first though. 7.5/10

I'd watched this movie before, but TV showed it again and I watched some parts... Now I have an excuse to post it here.

Transformers_%20Revenge%20of%20the%20Fal

It's equal to ME3 overall. IT'S EQUAL TO ME3 OVERALL! Both have the same quality in writing and action, and therefore the same score! 6.5/10

Oh popcorn gam... I mean movies!

The 98 one? Godzilla's not in that. There was a gray CGI blob vaguely in the shape of a T-Rex. But that sure wasn't Goji by any stretch of the imagination. Zilla is the name you're looking for.

Just saying I know my stuff. You're allowed to disagree.
Goji 2014 was paced, acted and focused like every other film in the series. Except Final Wars...but I really don't understand how that movie was made...on drugs probably.

I think Pacific Rim'll be more your speed.

Oh sure.

See, I'm not a Godzilla fan at all. I have no idea what I'm talking about.

So when I watched it. I just wanted a Monster movie with things killing each other in epic CG action.

So yeah, Pacific Rim is what I really wanted out of Godzilla.

F*ck, 2005's King Kong was what I wanted out of Godzilla (epic t-rex fight.)

Two "French" movies

Asterix_and_Obelix_Take_on_Caesar-413428

Funny movie, good actors in this A&O movie. 7.5/10

ppOzCsSNNt58Vn82wt9iyudF6jG.jpg

Some cool action and driving scenes and funny moments, but nothing special overall. 6.5/10

At least it had Marion Cotillard!

Asterix and Obelix

You've made all that more than apparent.

To reiterate.

Spoiler

Getting all these movies was a pain in the ass.

I've been around long enough to understand these movies aren't for everyone. But 2014 does a better job representing the films than 98 did.

Under a different name, 98 isn't that bad. It's one of the only Emmerich movies (Along with Independence Day, and Stargate) I can stand. But it falters as a Godzilla movie.

Imagine if a remake of Jojo was done, and they changed the look of all the characters and removed all their abilities, and everything over the top about it. But if you take the name away, and mentally change the names of the characters, it's fine.

That's what 98 is like to me.

It's much like Electric Blue Superman.

3386_4_0000000123.jpg

Powers weren't right, the look wasn't right, and it was just a stupid idea to "Reinvent" the character.

That's what this thing is when people call it Godzilla.

Spoiler

It's Zilla or That Damn Iguana.

Also I have no quarrel with Peter Jacksons King Kong, that's a great movie, Andy Serkis did a great job in that. Tie-in game wasn't that bad either.

The fact that there is 6 Japanese puppet Godzilla movies after 1998 movie (which was a good movie) is really disturbing...

Ah... this one might actually be good:

It's a direct sequel (The only one in the Millenium series which is weird) to Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. Watch that one first.

GMK is my favorite though. Great action, decent effects, and a reinvention of the lore that doesn't involve the most unrealistic attempt at realism I've ever seen. (Sure, because the quadrupedal Marine Iguana could totally mutate into a T-Rex like form...that would totally be able to support its weight and run like it's got ants in its pants. Riiiiight).

(Stupid cam footage)

Also Suitmation isn't puppetry. That's insulting to two dying art forms.

Strange movie, it got good reviews with many critics saying it was a "masterpiece" but.... I did not feel the same, it was kinda boring and a bit, well.... Just odd. ScarJo was really good in it tho, I'd say 90 percent of the movie is just her in a van talking and picking up men, lol. The film is a critique on beauty and very anti-masculinity, borderline anti-men, which I found rudimentary and glib.

Put more nude and sex scenes in a movie and it will be rated 14/10!

See at least there they don't cut to 'boring character #4' any time Godzilla popped up and did something cool. We get a SEXY Godzilla, like, AWESOME, he looks ****** brilliant and it's like "naaaw man, we ain't showing you." I saw more of them bugs than I saw Godzilla.

And what they did to Bryan Cranston deserves a lawsuit.

This certainly isn't what I wanted to wake up too.

I've more than said my piece. As have you, I'm done talking about this. I'm not going to change your opinion on 2014, nor will you change mine on 98. Also it seems to be getting you worked up.

Not saying you're right mind you :P. Just that I find you're a cool guy, and I'd rather not have this lead to me flat out ignoring you like other people I could mention.

Just saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Man, Koba Kommander really wanted to watch the world burn. It was scary.

Now we just need Astronaut Taylor, The Statue of Liberty, and Dr. Zaius.
