Is that a MP-44 in the hand of Sergeant?

Only to see it firing in a movie making the movie worthy of watching!

A decent western, but the lack of Tuco and Angel Eyes makes it slightly less appealing

Hated it. I tend to be right-leaning on a lot of issues but this movie annoys me because it too often tries to sell itself on feels, not facts (and its facts are often irrelevant to the points it tries to make). I also don't like the way D'Souza conducted some of the interviews, asking the interviewees loaded questions and not really letting them respond in full (or more likely editing out their full response).

2/10 WNWA

Interstellar. My god, it was so bad I wanted to leave after one hour.

Great movie, I'd definitely recommend it if you like dark sci-fi, but maybe slightly less so if you don't.

I like this trend of Asian directors directing Hollywood movies.

That's what I heard as well and it made me want to go see it. Turned out to be just an okay movie. The movie has nothing say other than war is hell, (as if we didn't know) and it's mostly mindless action, especially near the end. It gets really stupid. The tank battles are also unrealistic. Honestly, I got the feeling the director of this film played a lot of World of Tanks and wanted to make a movie based on that.

Interstellar. My god, it was so bad I wanted to leave after one hour.

Was it just another pretentious Nolan film?

Just saw Guardians of the Galaxy. I gotta say, It was a pretty fun movie. Definitely enjoyed the second hour more than the first, but The Avengers is still my favorite Marvel movie to date.

Agreed, although it would have been nice if Hollywood had given it a bit more publicity for the stateside release. Oh well, it was awesome and that's all that matters. :D

I finally watched Guardians of the Galaxy. It almost made it to great category, but it wasn't the best superhero movie I had watched. I can say that 0.5 points was just because of Groot! 8.75/10

Pretentious is a good word to describe this turd.

It felt like a cramped odd sci-fi story of an old senile man who desperately tried to distract the viewer from the asinine scenes through confusion caused by thousands of ill explained space-time phenomenas that make no sense whatsoever.

I can also explain the high rating of this garbage. There is a strange phenomena, if people fail to fully understand a movie because it contains so much faked complexity they usually give very high ratings.

The acting was bad and forced, the dialogues were extremely bad, the highly irritating soundtrack consisted of two tracks, the scenes that were supposed to be super emotional made me face palm (And there were many).

The only good thing about Interstellar was Anne Hathaway. She is always gorgeous.

The last movie that was similarly painful to watch was Prometheus, although for different reasons.

I think it's because it's a Nolan film and the film critics view him as some type of movie demigod. The guy has made some truly great movies in the past, but I think his more recent efforts have been lackluster to put it mildly. I think this also describes Ridley Scott fairly accurately, although the critics don't seem to be as fond of him.

I also hated Prometheus. That was when I gave up on Ridley Scott.

Nolan is good but there's a lot of talent out there, and even excellent directors like Paul Thomas Anderson, Fincher, Wes Anderson, Lynch, Von Trier, Coen Brothers, The Dardennes, and I doubt he'll make anything that'll best the likes of Memento, Dark Knight or Prestige.

Ridley Scott hasn't made anything remarkable beyond Blade Runner and arguably Thelma & Louise (at the very least due to the interest it sparked in the Road-trip genre).

Some of the best sound effects I've ever heard in a movie though. I forgot to mention that earlier.

I watched Maleficent the other day.  Meh.

Yesterday I watched a terrible B-horror movie called Extraterrestrial.  Double meh.
