"The Interview"

It's good. Not amazing, by any means, but I had a good time. There's definitely a sharp upward trajectory once they actually make it to North Korea, whereas the first 20-30 minutes felt like outtakes from another Judd Apatow knockoff. Although Eminem's straight-faced interview was entertaining.

I saw Black Sea:

It was scored fairly well on RottenTomatoes and it did not disappoint.

It wasn't bad. As a matter of fact, It was great, But it wasn't a masterpiece. The ending was predictable though.

I could speak about it all night and still it wouldn't be enough. Simply put, This movie is a masterpiece.

I can't say if Jake Gyllenhaal is apathetic or depressed most of the time!

I saw this:

Great documentary. Has a great selection for interviewers like Adam Sessler and Feargus Urquhart. It covers a wide range of subject matter outside of "Are Video Games Art?", mostly around the social media's misperceptions on video games as a whole, and why that may occur in the first place, i.e. Generation Gaps.

I prefer Tarzan over that any day of the week. It has stupid character and story. It seems some writers are out of "good" ideas.

Cool-cute trend almost like Kawaii in anime but with different target. It is mostly in video games (specially android/mobile games) and series. Look at how most of recent Cartoon Network series are awful. Ben 10 looks like a mature masterpiece one comparing to them.

American Sniper. And i liked that.

I am not sure for how long, but believe for 40 years for sure this machine of patriotic indoctrination is rolling in the States. And you may clearly see the effect in this movie, and the process by the movie itself. Thing to behold.

It's like Battleship movie right? When vets forced old ship to move, fire and kickass.

Is it for real? Does IMDb says it is the topest movie of the world?

Emmm. You know i wouldn't say that. It is a nice movie, well filmed, well played. Very patriotic if you are into this kind of thing. With some personal drama.

I enlisted into the army just for the sake of saving of 3 years of my life. However during my service a lot of shhh happened, like explosion in moscow's subway and some other stuff. So i can relate to the character at some point, because damn i was mighty angry at that moment.

Besides as i mentioned before, patriotic education in the States on a very high level, and i may call it indoctrination. For example in Russia such thing only appeared like 6 years ago, and it's full of facepalms.

So in short movie is nice, but not the best ever for sure. Besides i had this feeling that director really want some Oscar.

American Sniper is disgusting. Dude's widow has made a small fortune defaming her husband and nation. People in the USA are way too conditioned to call any and every military person a "hero". It is out of control. It is fanaticism being paraded around as "patriotism".

If a guy (or woman) legitimately saves their unit from peril or sacrifices themselves for a comrade, this is one thing. That is truly heroic.

However, merely getting through boot camp or having a knack for dead-eye accuracy is NOT justification for being called a hero. These people are simply doing their job. I am ashamed to be American when I hear this kind of nonsense being thrown around...

Actually wasn't American Sniper his story told in his words?

And the guy was accused of making a lot of the stuff in the book and movie up to bignote himself..

Jupiter Ascending - just got out.
It's no Cloud Atlas, but here's what I thought....
It's starts off a little awkward... Actually the beginning was kind of jarring, & then it stays weird for like the first hour or so. I was really mad at the actress at the start, I kindof dislike her just for being related to Seth McFarlane's work, but what was annoying me was that she didn't accept her role... She doesn't look like who she is supposed to be playing, she looks like Hollywood actress I don't care if the make up doesn't fit give me ALL the make up! Later on some of the actors, even how brief their part, start carrying the film more. She also seems to do better in the films second half. There's also odd pacing issues especially towards the beginning. The music is often a bit off, which after Cloud Atlas was quite disappointing.... & at one point I thought I heard the Terminator drumming theme. You get glimpses of what does look like a pretty cool universe. Not sure if the film was supposed to be based off anything, & I kind of hope it is, because I doubt sequels were planned but it would be cool if there are a series of books out there? Also... They kind of rip-off their last film in a plot-spoiler kind of way. Maybe they're going with a theme with these films?

In short... making it passed the first hour rewarded me with an interesting sci-fi film, some likable characters, cool technology, & setting. If there is a novel or a series out there, I think I'd really love exploring more of this universe.

Batman vs Superman trailer, no didn't see that one. The projector crashed fifteen minutes in so we even got two sets of trailers after they restarted the film, but bvs wasn't among them. Was it supposed to be revealed?
