So unrealistic. Yes I realize they used the extra speed of the Sherman M4A2E8. The Sherman use a 76 MM canon and the Tiger a 88 MM Canon and the tiger in the back has a 82 MM thick armor  with an effective thickness of almost 90 MM.

When they battle the Sherman . They hit it where it has a thickness of  63.5 MM ?( Near the gunner) with a stronger canon. Unless they were using fire/heat shell which has less penetrative property. Than maybe.  Or they fought a very inexperienced crew and the impact because of the angle just rebounded on the armor. But Doubtful since the tiger just owned 3 sherman before. At least the machine gunner should either be unconscious or dead

( The new guy)

So this fight was completely unrealistic, Don't get me started on the last fight. German were not so bad at fighting.

The Tiger 1 should have owned that Sherman. Tiger were feared for a reason and Sherman were no match without a big element of surprise.

Well it is what they refer to themselves as (highschool is a strange place). Personally, Ill keep to my own type of war films, no offense

I also liked Das Boot, Saving Private Ryan (Hanks and Spielberg also made Band of Brothers), and The Longest Day. But have never cared much for Apocalypse Now; all but fell asleep in that one at the time, and dislike the unfair portrayals.

The last part of The Hobbit... and unless the industry moves forward it is going to be a good while until I see a movie again.

I don't really care 3D stuff but the 24fps choppy video is just horrible.

Personally, I love Apocolypse Now. That film, Heart of Darkness, and Spec Ops: The Line, are some my favorite pieces of media.

I dont love it as much as Copolla's work, but it is definitely still a good film. I've never understood bravado war films like Fury, but movies that dont depict war as a glorous battle like Black Hawk Down, Jacobs Ladder, and Saving Private Ryan

9/10

Great movie. Unforgettable acting by Bruno Ganz, great atmosphere. It would have been Masterpiece without documentary additions at the first and the end of the movie; Plus a few unnecessary "scenes" that diminish the tragic/war atmosphere of the movie.

Highly recommended.

I watched the Interview last night

it was standard Rogen fair

meaning it was occasionally moderately funny

a surprising amount of gore, which was

surprisingly amusing

Superior to Saving Private Ryan (released the same year and winner of all the awards) in pretty much every way.

The Longest Day is also a superb WWII movie

I think people like seeing Nazis die more than the Japanese!

Also taking an island is less interesting than the Invasion of Normandy.

The Original Caped Crusader

This was a great film and screw the critics for panning it upon its original release. This movie is a solid 8/10!

The search engine doesn't say much. Is it a Batman animation or video game?

How the hell was anyone supposed to figure that out from the words "Original Caped Crusader"? It doesn't even have anything to do with Bats.

How could you not? The joke of, "The Original Caped Crusader" implies it's not someone who is currently known as the Caped Crusader, ie it ain't Batman. Besides you don't honestly believe Batman is original in his appearance and theme of hiding/leaping from shadow, and or dark places, coming out at night, inspiring fear to all those who would be his enemy do you?

Was surprised at Battle: Los Angeles; was much better than expected. So was Reign of Fire. Though neither film is excellent, both were better than the standard fare for both genres.

On a similar note I find myself liking Skyline.....  Glad Earth didn't win.

Also I have a soft spot for The Darkest Hour

And Pacific Rim reminded me of Skyline at the end with that animation of all the robots...........
