I haven't watched a movie in awhile. Been catching up on TV shows.

I did recently acquire a copy of:

john_wick_ver3.jpg

Will have to watch that soon!

OK here's the thing. I like this movie. It's got fantastic visuals.... But aside from that not much else.

I normally like Sandra bullock but could not stand her in this...

I gave it 6/10

Has anyone seen the CinemaSins video with this and Neil DeGrasse Tyson?

Well this was weird... And disturbing... and weird.

I love both the original and the sequel!

It's a great movie with a lot of twists and turns, it had a lot of well-known actors too. It had Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin, Mark Wahlberg and Martin Sheen, all of them were fantastic.

I found the movie so enjoyable that I went and watched it on the internet when the tv channel I was watching it on went out mid-run of the film (digital television superior to cable televison my eye) I just had to know how it ended.

Symbolism is present throughout the film to such a point that it foreshadows in ways that you don't expect.

The movie was just awesome, it kept me guessing and the ending left me excited.

Wow, that wiki summary ain't half spoilery. Yeah, the basic concept for the story is novel, the actors don't suck, and despite it being billed as found footage it really isn't (which is a plus in my book). It falls down because it ends up being a fairly standard haunted house pic, except the characters are kinda shallow and don't really exist to be anything except fodder (they do try to humanise them at the start). It's not really scary (but is anything really?) but it's better than mindless torture porn. It is really middle of the road, good effort but nothing special.

There's a German version of The Descent called The Cave but it was pretty gruesome at the ending.......

Spoiler

I mean that's pretty depressing.

Yes, there is an "X" in the background of every shot immediately before a main character is killed off...

I liked the Departed, but IMO it is a bit overrated.

Just finished the movie Ouija board( spoiler, it sucked ) then followed it up with Mocking Jay( meh, I give it a 6/10 ). I'm debating whether I even want to watch the "new" Dracula movie. Sigh, my sister has horrible taste in movies.

Can't be as bad as Occulus......

BTW is Liam Neeson playing the same character in all his movies now? Just seems that way.

It certainly looks that way. Hollywood and it's shenanigans, where's Godzilla when you need him?

Yes it was. I get it, Hollywood wants to be edgy. But damn, sometimes I wonder if they get their plot points from Hentai movies.

I am always glad to see any mainstream film, especially a Horror flick not ending happily. Open endings are good too
