Which I really really loved it. It reminded me of a movie that I watched when I was a little child.

Well, I mean no offense, But sexual objectification of intelligent and independent women isn't really my thing.
You're actually serious, aren't you?

You got a problem with that?

I don't know if this counts. I mean it's technically a series (or OVAs?) but since there's only 3 and they're each about 40 mins a pop. I watched them back to back. So thats basically a movie right?
Either way it's still great.

If you think that admiring a woman's body is "sexual objectification", then yes.

Then deal with it.

That cover looks silly. The robot looks silly.
But I love robots so might find this.

It's the movie poster, the movie and the robots don't actually look anything like that - bloody marketers. It actually has quite cool robots and one of the better reasons for invading a planet that I've encountered.

Finally took the time to see it. I liked it. heck almost loved it, but the sheer cringe at some parts could power an entire city.

I have enough cringe-worthy things happening to me IRL. I am not going to pay for them

Memory ain't as good as it used to be, but seem to recall that scene is right from the book.

I remember watching the Rankin-Bass version and it didn't "cringe" as much. It's more about the execution.
