It was ok, fairly slow paced in the beginning.

Technically I bought and watched the Frozen DVD last, but the last non repeat viewing would be Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
A nice mix up of thriller and the standard super hero fare, its definitely not what you'd expect if you were going off the last cap film. Quite possibly my favourite Marvel film to date.

I watched Patton for the first time 2 nights ago. I'm trying to watch as many great movies as possible. Roger Ebert's suggestions and opinions have not disappointed me so far. He was really a great critic.

It's been a while since I sat down watched a movie, but I think the last one I watched was The Hobbit or it could have been Starship Troopers.

Yeah, but he was a bit of an old idiot at time as well. We all have our moments, I suppose.
I'm what is called a niche picture (not film or movie) watcher. The last picture I watched was so obscure that I will not even bother sharing the name of it with you people, because there's no chance any of you will have even heard of it.

Yeah, my favorite pictures don't even have a technical genre, I would tell you the director's name but you've probably never even heard of him. It's not like the mainstream critics would even understand how deep the storytelling is anyway.

The special features in the extended editions of LoTR and The Hobbit really put others to shame. The Hobbit has, like 8 or 9 hours, right? I forget how many LoTR had, but I think I enjoyed them so much that I watched them twice.
Yeah, the Hobbit offers nine hours of special features. But I must confess that I avoid making-offs in general - they destroy the illusion. Because: What has been seen cannot be unseen. :/

I know exactly what you mean, but I was just such a huge fan of the films. I even found the interviews with Alan Lee and John Howe (the guys who drew the pictures for the set/costume designers and special effects team) fascinating. And I'm not even an Internet coolcat who pretends to appreciate, and have a deep understanding of, tasteful art, fine wine and good writing!
