Unfortunately not. That's why there are seven of the damn things
I pride myself on watching enough quality film and the occasional tv show to let myself watch/like a couple of throw away flicks.

It's harmless stuff man.
Sure, I prefer Vin Diesel make more Riddick films. But for what they are, F&F aren't a bad way to spend your time.

Spoiler
You know it's ok if you think Vin is smexy. We all do. He's a very attractive human. You don't have to try and pretend to not like his movies.
No worries.
We all have that one movie or series we just don't like.
Well... the closet theory may be possible. There's one problem: I look too much like Vin/Marc Sinclair
(If I were into that look, or guys in general, masturbation would be much more fun, methinks)

Deisel is one of those special men that even straight men like: Harrison Ford, Batman, Liam Neeson, Ron Perlman, and George Clooney (that or Im maybe a little mroe gay than I thought)
Well since I can't find a picture that BSN will let me post for it.
The last film I watched this afternoon was The Cowboys. Not my favorite movie from The Duke, but still I think it's good.
The Fast and the Furious is an anomaly to me. As actual cinema, they're terrible. Hammy acting, stupid nonsense dialogue, overly contrived plots, etc, yet people seem to love them. The best I've ever seen said about them from critics is that the action scenes are pretty good. Granted, I haven't seen any F&F movies in a while, but I've seen them all up to and including the 4th. Have they actually improved as films, or is it just another case of Transformers syndrome? And by that, I mean where a terrible movie rakes in a ton of cash and is loved by people despite having no artistic merit or actual substance outside boobs, gunfights, and explosions (or races, in this case).

I hate the Fast and Furious franchise. I usually despise action movies. Well except for two, Non-Stop and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Specially Ghost Protocol, It was a masterpiece. Of course because it was directed by the brilliant Brad Bird. He just gave it the storytelling identity it needed to be a fictional movie, Not just some crowd pleasing aimless movie.
OK I don't mind the very first Fast and Furious movie. In fact I kind of liked it. But I have not seen any of the saquels.
However I do like the aesthetics of the movies and visuals. Some of the stunts they created were amazing. Cars vs tanks now that is pretty awesome stuff.......... And I did like the idea of the car jumping across two buildings in 7. I suspect CGI and would be surprised as all hell if that was done for real.
Uncle Buck

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

OK some of you film buffs might be able to help.
I remember a Western back in the 80s about 4 outlaws and some farmer dude and his wife they harrass, in particular they killed the wife in a long drawn out scene they chased her around what looked like a house foundation and then raped her. Husband finds her dead body in the middle of this with what looked like a tree branch sticking out of her .. You can guess where they stabbed her with that and left her to die.
He then seeks revenge on them and the rest of the film is a revenge story as he hunts them down one by one. And no it is not a Clint Eastwood film. Though nearly all the Dirty Harry movies have a rapey scene in them.

If they were bad movies I'd say so. They get better 4 onward, because of a few reasons, but the main one is they went the Gurren Lagann route of kicking logic to the curb and just doing crazy ****.
Transformers' problems go deeper than that.
Bay has a bad tendency to throw mixed up references or plot points from 30+ years Transformers Lore into the scripts despite them not meshing well with the Bayverse. He also turned Optimus into a crazy axe murderer.

Three buildings. It was great. But I think that was CG.
But there's a sequence earlier in the film where they're parachuting in cars was was done practically though.

I like most of well made action movies, but never liked F&F. Now put a title on me because of this!
Rambo 2. Still great.
That's what I call a classic.
As far as throw away action movies go. I think my favorite is the Transporter series. Statham is a boss.
