Hi
Do You think will be solo run possible in DA:I ? I like to travel with companions but sometimes I want to play solo even in BioWare games, usually when Im playing NG+
Would be nice to have chance for solo run even if it will be extremally hard.

Hmm, I guess there's no way of knowing until the game comes out but judging by what's been said about combatish kind of things (no auto healing after battles, more of a focus on tactics in the sense that you need a certain type of character to take down a certain type of enemy effectively, etc) I would say it'd be insanely difficult - but possible with the right class.
I don't see why not.
Unless they force you to put at least one character in the party by preventing you to exit the character selection screen if you don't select at least one companion, it should be possible to solo the game. Difficult, but possible.
I'd never even considered playing the game solo. Now I'm must try! Thanks for the idea ![]()
Judging by previous Bioware games, yes. Something Bioware has never been known for is extremely difficult games even on the highest difficulties. I've always felt that their higher difficulties felt like "normal" to me in most games. I could totally see a solo build being possible but of course, it entirely depends on the gameplay mechanics. Admittedly, some sound like they'd be a detriment to this style of play. Namely the limited healing pots.
Yolo, soloed platinum like fifty times.
Go 'head solo that Flemeth and veil tear, go Inquisitor!
Heh, for people looking for a gameplay challenge in Dragon Age try soloing as Dog. Simply leave the warden at the beginning of each map and play as Dog ![]()
I recently did this again naming Dog "Doge" just for the hell of it.
^ I like the cut of your jib.
I would just like more difficult difficulties than Nightmare... and for enemy Assassins to be not quite as powerful.

Even then you can just park them at the start of the map and put them on hold. I'm pretty sure I had to do that at least a few times in DAO.
I'm guessing you will be able to, but it will be very difficult, especially this time since enemies won't scale with you and you might stumble on higher level enemies than you. While you have the option to play solo, I don't really think the DA games are meant to be played as such, since half the charm of the game is the companion interaction and party combat.
I wouldn't mind it. I went solo on a couple of quests to see how it went.
As others have mentioned, I don't see why not
Go for it, Inquisitor!
I assume it will be a possibility just like before.
Thanks everyone for yours thoughts.
Knight of Dane Im not sure if it's a joke or not, but it's interesting idea to play DA:O with my mabari...I should try
I suspect it will like most games... Insanely difficult at first but as DLC and power creep come along will get easier.
I've never understood the appeal of soloing in games like Baldurs Gate and Dragon Age. One of the main reasons the games are so fun is the awesome interplay of banter between companions. If I want to solo something Ill play Skyrim or New Vegas.
I never do a total solo run in Dragon Age for those exact reasons, but I have on occasion done certain side quests either with just the PC or the PC and a single companion, or in the case of Origins, just the dog. Like, for example, I did a Trial of Crows with just the Warden and dog so it would seem like a lone assassin mission.
You probably can have a solo run, but it'll probably depend on difficulty, your skills, items, etc.
Well, I don't see much sense in it (because for me the party banter is the last thing that's consistently good in Bioware games) but probably yes, save for the missions when you are forced to take some character with you.

About solo gaming. Sometimes I want challenge. Im playing BioWare games many times, so with good knowledge about enemies, game secrets, areas etc solo run level up difficulty.
Now about companions. First, not everyone are interesting for me, and while Im playing for fun I will not force myself to know those I dislike better. I just don't want it. And usually I got for first companions those, I dislike ( my bad luck), and want to left them behind. Also after a few playthroughts their's banters, dialogs, backstories etc aren't as funny/interesting as before ( that's the reason I love NPCs mods for BG serie).
