You can always come up with what your character is thinking, rather than saying. Headcanon that everything thats not fanatical dalish support is just BS your character spouts to keep people smiling while they have an ulterior motive.

As someone whose second favorite origin is Dalish, I approve of being able to become one again in Inquisition!

 

Since dalish are confirmed, what about dwarves? Will we just be surface dwarves, come from a different dwarf city, be casteless, what?

Some people will be somewhat upset about this... but the fact that Dalish are confirmed is most pleasant. And ultimately probably most practical for the designers.

They don't have materially a nation right now,  but they are all united by the same mindset of what they have lost and wish to recover. They obviously believe they belong to a nation for the elves... Those who are not giving up about their traditions, their rites, their language​​, their culture. The same for all the clans.

Well, somewhat disappointed that the elf Inquisitor is Dalish no matter what.. Guess I'll just play a dwarf or qunari
