"Believe I mentioned this before, but once again: if you're an elf, you're Dalish."
Do you approve of this choice? im abit disappointed since i wanted to be a city elf instead.

Its more interesting, story wise, with The Dales right there in the middle of the map

Yes, I approve of. We need to be able to have a point of view very different from the human inquisitor. It's better with a Dalish for me. ( not saying it isn't possible with the city elf though )

Eh. DA elves never resonated with me so I don't really care one way or the other. I do slightly prefer the Dalish over the city elves.

No
I'm nearly totally opposed to this and pretty much cements my mage as qunari, since I find the city elves, and excircle elves far more sympathetic than a group of nomads who won't accept that they can't make the sun stand still and are fighting for something that is unlikely to ever exist (unless they survive until Thedas reaches the space colonization age).
The future of the elves is in cohabitation with humanity, not some isolationist pipe dream.

I wonder if that means the elf inquisitior will have a welsh or irish accent like the DA2 dalish did

Well, most people treat City Elves like s***. So, I don't really think they'd be a candidate for the position of Inquisitor. Although, it would be nice to see things from their perspective.

Hmm...I like the Dalish, but I was hoping my elf Inquisitor would be a little more distinct from my Warden.
Oh well. Moody Dalish girl shall save the world again I s'pose.

I agree, part of the reason i dislike the dalish is that they remind me too much of Quarians with their stubbornness & refusal to learn from their mistakes.

I havent even considered that, i'd hope so though since it stands out much more than the regular american accent. Since they gave the elves an accent in their second appearance i wonder if they'll give the Qunari an accent with their second significant appearance being in DA:I, just a random thought

I think we might understand the reason for not having city elves better after The Masked Empire, somehow.

I would welcome a welsh or irish accent if it was done well, not horribly bad like some of the french accents have been.

Hmmmm, I was always going to pick a Dalish elf so I'm not really disappointed by that (even if I can understand why some might be), but now my choice of class might be a bit trickier.

Eh, i wanted to play City Elf again and oppose/rise above 2nd class treatment, but whatever.

I'd rather be a city elf given the choice, but hopefully this means we'll get an accent (if we don't I don't really see the point). I'm not particularly fond of the Dalish, but I'm sure I'd be able to roleplay one who doesn't like the more racist and self-righteous parts of their culture.

I prefer Dalish myself. Still don't understand why the Inquisitor as a city elf would make a difference. Hmmm, interesting.

On the downside, my would-be Elf Inquisitor theme song doesn't really work anymore... ![]()
On the upside, better perspective / lore opportunities. Also, yay blood writing! \(^o^)/

Hmmm maybe it has something to do with the Elves rebellion. The city elves are probably hiding within the Dalish's camps, so maybe we'll find out more in The Masked Empire.
Here is a another thought...if the inquisitor was a city elf, he would probably be more worry about the rebellion then been the inquisitor.
