Actually, lyrium'll kill mundane humans; you need dwarven lyrium tolerance, so far as I know.

Who are mages, just horribly injured ones.
Your trite mage superiority complex while amusingly bigoted is also incorrect.
Normal Men have within them the capacity to become Enchanters, Mages cannot.
Also Mundane is a slur, as if there was anything innately superior with being easy to possess and having corruptible demons whispering at you every time you decide to have a nap.
What?
Refined Lyrium is harmless as far as we saw in the game. The biggest usage Mundanes can get from Lyrium is becoming a templar which happens after years of injection/drinking and not instantly. Too far from potential of a mage. As a simple example mages can enter the fade by using it Templars cannot.
I like the Discovery Channel thing where they described how a dragon could exist in reality with all of its powers. For example, the breathing fire would actually be more breathing napalm caused by the dragon having the chemicals in glands and sprays them simultaneously, combining them into a single stream and combusting.
Oh how far the Discovery channel has fallen

We will have to disagree with that.
They are close to normal as those ungrateful curs will ever be.
While my coffee is reheating, what, if anything, does the bomb have to do with the topic? May we please move the endless bomb/Anders/Chantry debate elsewhere? That isn't the point of the thread and I don't want to see it get locked.

Their connection to the Fade has been cut, they are former mages
I'm not. Given that Celene was last heard of in Jader, her reinforcements coming down from Val Chevin and Gaspard controlling parts of southern Orlais I'm inclined to say that the elves are probably trapped between the armies of Orlais.
Moreover... even if they do win... what's stopping Orlais from coming after them afterwards?
I'm not so certain, given the map, but I think we need more information before being certain. Perhaps this is where the Inquisition comes in, to play a role in deciding between two human nobles contesting the rule of the throne, or the elven struggle to emancipate themselves?
This requires two things Lobsel: One, that the Dalish see the Chantry itself as the primary enemy (similarily to how many mages do) and that they relate to the mages and their imprisonment. She must be in a position to be a hero in their eyes for them to actually care. If not... then at best she's seen as a human servant... at worst far less polite words.
Two: That Merrill's exile was from her own clan and that the other clans at the very least disagreed with that choice. If they in any way take Marethari's word for it... then chances are that Merrill can never return to her people (barring extraordinary cirumstance). Remember, even Fenris heard of the Arlathvhen prior to Merrill. That's telling of how isolated she was.
Thus... Merrill might be seen as a inspirational figure... or as a nobody... or even a traitor. Difficult to say at this point.
The Dalish historically blame the Chantry for the fall of their kingdom, they are constantly on the move because of the templars and violent Andrastians, and the elves who submitted to human rule were forced to abandon their gods and convert. I think some of the People would see the Chantry as a nemesis, and I can see Merrill becoming a hero for some of the Dalish by defying the templars at the heart of their seat of power over eastern Thedas.
I simply think it's possible. I'd certain like it if the Dalish Inquisitor could express an opinion on one of the Elvhen who took on the Knight-Commander and her entire templar army, and defied her.
What?

I'd appreciate if you ceased calling normal people by that slur.
And as i said before The Tranquil can refine Lyrium into enchantment, a practice that until they picked it up was only done by Dwarves.
Bit more then just becoming a templar.
We will have to disagree with that.
They are close to normal as those ungrateful curs will ever be.
They can destroy the world if pushed enough to do it. If majority of Mages become abominations blights will look like Antivan vacations.
Lets make them angry shall we?

Hardly. They can still be healed. Anders was, at least, wrong about this.
Nothing you can do to a mage will make her not be what she is. It's long past time the Chantry and templars learned this, but perhaps they can ruminate on it now.

Cease the Dramatics, If Abominations became more common it would merely unify factions together to face them down.
If five blights didn't end Thedas?
A Whiny Boohoo revolt by the robes isn't much to be scared of.

Please suck on a fireball. I've seen you calling mages worse.
The tranquil are mages, mundandes cannot become enchanters. Fenris who is imbued with lyrium can NEVER become an enchanter. No one who is not born a mage can become one. Except dwarves like Sandal which are irrelevant in this discussion.
Why are we talking about mage scum in a thread about knife ear scum?

Each abomination can take down a village, the lore suggests that. Its plenty to destroy Thedas ![]()

They are former Mages, Crafted into a semblance of normalcy for the first time in their lives, no need to fear demons, possession or their own power backfiring.
Tranquility relieves them of that Burden.
How can you label that as a injury?
Whom are you to declare who should be mage or no? If they should be forced to carry that Burden?

Yeah but if that actually came into play it would be a gameplay, not a lore feature.
Aka two clicks per mage and they die.

But you miss my point. No mundane can use Lyrium in a way the mage does. A mage can destroy a city if given enough lyrium. A mundane will stare at shiny metals and get bored
Thus its an "alchemy" only a mage can do.
*cough* Dworkin's lyrium sand explosives. *cough*

It's also constant subconscious torture, where both mages who've been cured of it begged for death before having it return for them.
Why are we talking about mage scum in a thread about knife ear scum?
Blunt, but he has a point. Would someone be willing to start a thread on that topic so we can go back to discussing being a Dalish elf in Inquisition?

Only those that deserve it, I don't speak ill of the few who actually were decent enough to accept their lot in life.
Actually that isn't confirmed at all in lore, Given Tranquility apparently only focuses their mind to the extent it requires.
There is nothing to say a normal person couldn't pick up the talent if they had the discipline.

There is a thread for it, which is tempting me to start reporting all the offtopic posts

Oh please! Cease the headcanoning.
Both of those idiots were merely experiencing the side effects of the tranquility reversal.
It confirmed it through their emotional comprehension into flux, you could have kicked a puppy and they probably would have begged to die rather then see such "horror" again.
._. If they had been of reasonable state, i am certain they would have spoke of how pleasant it can be.
Allright to get this back on track. I am kind of dissapointed about the exclusion of City elf background because it would have been interesting especially in subterfuge missions on connecting with other city elf servants and finding information or getting in places through them. Of course being Dalish maybe you could convince some city elves to leave and join the Dalish or be a complete snob to them and say that they aren't "true elves" in coversation.
