I'm on my 6th playthrough of Origins, and I finally took Zevran with me to the Brecilian Forest. TRUST ME. It's worth it. When you go to the crazy hermit and try to reach into his stump, make sure Zevran is with you. You can actually get whatever was stored in it. I am always amazed at how intricate this game is. I can't wait until Inquisition comes out!

That's nothing. Try taking Dog with you. He damn near spoils the whole plot of the thing 5 minutes into it with a single reaction.

What do you mean exactly? Had Barkspawn with me on the Haven tour one time but I don't remember him saying anything noteworthy... Denerim is a different matter.

LOL, that definitely sounds like Zevran. I thought themikefest was talking about Barkspawn, who was the last character mentioned. The Denerim thing gets me every time ("Puppy!" ... "If he comes with us, he's going to have to fight darkspawn" (argumentative bark) "I know he's too young. That's my point.").
