I didn't realize I needed permission in the first place.

im not 100% sure of the trailer, if it didn't say it was inquisition at the end then it could be mistaken for a generic skyrim clone with all the focus on the environment rather then the characters.
The whole point of the trailer was to show off the environments... ![]()

Squee! Wow, it's really going to be hard to play through those ocean scenes. Those waves looked so real. Makes me want to fall down and just enjoy. Hopefully our characters can sit down and enjoy those ocean waves. I can't jump up and down in my seat, family home. They will think I've lost my mind. Hehehe!
Ok, where can we speculate on these scenes at?
Looks great BioWare. Hope we see more soon.

That troll looks absolutely amazing!
Considering (iirc) they're trying to be more 'sparing' with dragons, could it be that trolls will take the role of Big Boss when exploring nature?

The way I see it, the trolls are gonna replace the random ogres we came across back in DAO.

Wow, I completely missed the hunter in the scene with the elk/moose thing.
Thanks LPPrince.

“Through a breach in the sky, the brave now walk where once we feared to dream.”
I can think of only one place where people "feared to dream" and that is that black city. It makes sense we'd be able to go there, especially since the Legacy DLC hinted that we'll learn a lot more about the origins of the darkspawn.

I think it might be different places.

The environment looks pretty and varied and transmiting that was the point of the trailer.
However, I did not like the implications of showing a stronghold of one of the game's factions with thunder in the background and corpses in ground.
Subtle; I hope they aren't blantantly trying to tell us who is evil and who is good.

The faction could be the RT, which can be the counter faction to the Tevinter faction that appeared in the video too. As it was in the PAX demo. The environment looks pretty and varied and transmiting that was the point of the trailer.

I think it might be different places.
Look at the shapes of the floating islands and the shape of the rock bridges, they look too similar for it to be a coincidence, also the second image is concept art which is not the finalized version of what will be in the game. I'm pretty sure they're different places within the same location.

I had missed the Tevinter banners but that actually illustrates my point.
The Tevinters that will appear in DAI seem to be villains you will have no choice but to contend with whereas in DA2, one could even sell a companion of seven years to a Magister.
Options are a good thing, allowing us to decide who we wish to support and for what reasons are even better. At this moment, both the demos and now this trailer appear to portrait at least two factions composed of human characters as irrevocably evil.
I certainly hope I am mistaken; Loghain was an antagonist for most of DAO and that didn't mean he didn't have depth.

I understand your point, though I doubt that we'll have the choice to side with the Venatori and the RT.I had missed the Tevinter banners but that actually illustrates my point.

I want to point out that selling Fenris to Danarius changes nothing about Tevinter: you were still allowed to make an evil action (which wasn't the first in agreement to a Tevinter).

I want to take a look at the video, scene by scene. Overall, I think they've done a fantastic job - some of the regions are downright brilliant.
But at the same time, I feel then need to... pick a nit here or there. ![]()
Scene 1:

Paragon Orseck Garal.
Scene overall is pretty good. I like the rolling fog effects, though the rock has a... somewhat molded-clay texture/look to it.
Scene 2:

Desolate shoreline, which looks to be in the same area.
The water appearance and effects are definitely the best DA has had. Though I find the water does break upon the shore a bit oddly.

Scene 3:

Forest scene.
Overall, very nice. I love the moss-covered rocks, the lush foliage. If I had to pick a nit, a couple of those trees shand out as a bit "placed".
Scene 4:

Waterfall.
We've seen this screenshot already. Overall, looks great. Nice rolling fog effect around the castle. I think the only nit I'd pick is that the water feels a bit too splashy. It feels it should be more... "rolling" water.

I'm really looking forward to this now, looks exquisite. Regarding the voiceover, if that is one of or the voice for the Inquisitor, it sounds like they have gone for a slight regional accent this time as opposed to Hawke's received pronunciation, as I said it is slight and has a hint of Bristol or Devonshire twang on a couple of the words spoken. I could be completelywrong though.
