Isn't that more of a hippogriff than a griffon?
It reminds me of a pegasus tbh

You're right that the pose makes more sense for lion.
I guess what makes me doubt griffon is just that we've seen quite a few depictions of Griffons and they look quite different

Do the textures look low resolution to anyone else?
In the screenshot just above your comment, yes actually. Everything looks lower res, I think maybe that's a poor upscaled shot, or bad compression? Inconsistent enough with the rest of the screenshots (including other Hinterlands/Redcliffe) that I wouldn't worry too much about it.
These days, very few games get "polished" by the time of release the way we believe they will. DA 2 looked bad during pre-alpha, came out looking worse on the release day.
DA2's visuals were doomed from the start. As a general rule, always assume that the press-shots are a Maxed out PC... Though in some cases this isn't even true. (Watch Dogs-Dark Souls II)
[Cut]To put it bluntly: The desert looks more 'real' than the fortress (even minus fantasy spiky fluff).
I think my biggest issue with that Fort is that it doesn't look like it was built in that desert. Almost like it was assembled thousands of miles away and transported there intact, and then plopped down. The grey rocks of the wall are stark contrast to the natural colors of the sand and cliffs.
A minor complaint, I'll get over it. The Crestwood fort looks much better.

For me the images look fine. Until I see how it looks in the game, I won't worry about ^ it.

It is a Grey Warden fortress why would they put lions or anything else on it? 100% that they are Griffons; fairly obvious that they are winged creatures with beaks. Any differences in style could be explained (not that i really think that it needs to be, people in this thread get really picky about things) by the fact that the fortress is supposed to be from the second blight ~800 years ago, art changes in 800 years.
So much fire and spikes. Maybe DAI is the franchise's rebellious phase.

Pretty sure that was DA2 hahaha

Question, why is her hair mad shiny
I'd have preferred to see her with long hair as well, but I think she looks nice.*coughSHOULD'VEHADLONGHAIRcough*

Her outfit seems kind of circle robey. Particularly with DA2's weird shoulder exposing thing.
On the subject of hands, I'm glad I can look at her hands and not gag.

Exactly what I was thinking. They actually look normal!

Hah, for now.
God forbid they nail polished them or something, it'd just draw attention to them and we'd realize they were so much worse
Poor Morrigan and Vivienne
lol

Your resident archer and swordsman, at your service. *bows*
But yes, it would be nice if by equipping a bow we also get a glove for our hands. Then again, it may interfere with armor we wear, so the likely result is no gloves for the Inquisitor.
