Only partially agree. LotR's influence is mostly visually and by way of the Jackson movies and mostly discernible in DA:O; and much of this visual influence seems to have petered out i DA2 and DA:I.
ASoIaF's is also limited to some plot furniture and a few terms ('ser'). The bulk comes from elsewhere, and lies more in the direction of D&D and its offshoots.
Just being my nitpicky self
Well, if we're being really nitpicky we can say that D&D counts LotR in its pedigree, soooo... Not sure where i was going with that, but one of the things I like about DA is that it doesn't clutter its setting with dozens of magical creatures and active (And potentially killable) gods like D&D. In that way, DA has a distinct LotR bent to it with a heavy dose of ASoIaF.
Anyway, I'd say that, thematically, storywise and visually, DA:O owes the most to LotR, especially with the save the world from ancient evil thing. With liberal darker leanings sprinkled in. In DA2, things got more political and personal rather than saving the world, which is definitely more of a ASoIaF thing (I still think setting you loose in the city to make coin was a great move in Act 1 of DA2). And in DAI... we're back to saving the world, but this time we're doing it smart, by building an organization the wields power through espionage, military might, and economic power. So perhaps we've found our middle-ground?
