Bioware's marketing hasn't been the best IMO. Half their images are filled with bugs, floating dead people and terrible clipping issues.

Every single weapon being one from DA2 as well as several NPCs wearing DA2 ported DLC armor hasn't inspired confidence either.

And Cassandra's sword, IB's axe in the E3 trailer, and one Sera's bow were new.

Same as his interview screenshot, but still:

(I liked the brown color scheme of his outfit in the war table screenshot better.)

Because we all know it is way better to show off bullshots, right? A lot of developers lie to us through screenshots and trailers shown, at least Bioware is not afraid to show the real deal. Heck, even the fan favorite game, the Witcher 3 has countless of screenshots with all kinds of bugs and yet their marketing is not suffering. If people can deal with it with the Witcher 3, I don't see why Bioware should be damned for it.

And as to the comment concerning the reuse of gear from DA2, I really fail to see how that is bad marketing or how that remotely diminishes confidence. Is there some rule that gear can't be reused in the same game series more than once?

No.  But there should be a rule about not reusing Hayder's Razor.

It seems I'm the only one who actually likes the look of that weapon(and others). It only looked bad in Hawke's hands, it needs a Qunari male for it to shine, like Iron Bull.

Hope more weapons like that exist in DA:I. I'll take that over spike-filled weapons and armour any day.

Hayder's Razor and the person who made it(the weapon-smith in lore) NEEDS TO BURN

Perhaps people hold BioWare and CDPR to different standards because they are in different situations. One developer is building on a well-received game and the goodwill it earned them versus the other who is trying to come back from a blunder that damaged their reputation.

... It's like what happens in the character creator when you turn down the chin depth slider as far as it can possibly go...

Did somebody draw that moustache by hand?

The lines make me mourn the passing of Lord Flashheart (RIP Rik Mayall, you glorious crazy bastard  :crying: )

For a videogame character? You betcha! It certainly didn't grow all by itself.

Oh hi Vincent!

Seriously, that character has twirly mustache and hipster hair?!

I´m starting to see a pattern here with these characters strange looks and their ridiculous outfits (mage outfit, seriously?)

Interesting textile texture, by the way. It looks like it is some kind of terry cloth (badstof wafeldoek, it seems, as we call it here. waffle-terry?). It's more the kind of stuff you use for bathrobes and such.

Maybe Dorian will inherit Hawke's Varric-name of Waffles?

I was thinking of 'Badstof Buddy' myself, but you have to be Dutch or Flemish to appreciate such a nickname. At least it alliterates  :D
