Does Sera come from the Lancashire or Yorkshire part of Fereldon?
I'm leaning towards Lancashire borders...
The Derbyshire part of Thedas, so neither!

I'm gonna cheat and say The Shire.
I miss Oghren
Where is that magnificent bastard?
Looking for his father so no one calls him that again
The Derbyshire part of Thedas, so neither!
aha... I couldn't place it exactly.
Looking for his father so no one calls him that again
Awesome!!!!!
That or Zevran.
Bioware knows they have to get this game right...they know they have to step up from DA2 and make up for it with DAI. On what we have seen I think they have done just that.
I can tell just with Sera's voice and demeanor. I think I'm gonna enjoy her company leagues more than Merrill's.
Get a closer look at both real-time & tactical combat in pt 2 of our critically-acclaimed E3 demo: http://youtu.be/fCGJACVoMPI #DAI
I'm cautiously optimistic!
Same. What they've shown looks FAAAR better than the equivalent pre-release media for Dragon Age 2.
It can still be better, and given its alpha it may be by release, but so far I'm happy. Certainly with these last two videos.
Can't believe I'm saying this, and it may be a little early to say it, but Bioware might just be on the rebound.
At the very least, their marketing strategies seem to be on the rebound ![]()

Yeah, lets go with that. hahaha
"Mr. Laidlaw, y u no awesome button?"
"Because LP, the game itself is awesome"
"Ooooh"

"MR. LAIDLAW NOTHING IS HAPPENING"
"Christ, it goes in the disc tr-...HOW HAVE YOU SURVIVED THIS LONG!?"

As presented in the video, I think the intention that BioWare is going for with Leliana misses the mark. Saying that her relationship with the Inquisitor will be affected because she was captured and tortured for following her orders just doesn't make any sense not only in the context of what we've seen in the previous games, but also in this footage. For one thing, she's clearly capable of killing anyone while bound so why would she hold a grudge against you if she's got that much control? I believe giving Leliana a bass** moment undermines what the real moment should be about. When I think of Leliana not liking someone because of what happened to her, I think of her having to go through some pretty nasty stuff. Remember how much of a grudge she had towards Marjolaine for betraying and leaving her to be tortured? Come on. She chose to follow the Inquisitor's orders and as seen in the game, the Inquisitor came back much to her relief. There's no reason why Leliana should look down on the Inquisitor simply because things went down hill.
And if you want to convey that she was tortured, it's got to be visually dramatic. Instead of being stripped down and showing signs of beatings (Something that even Origins did), she's in her full armor with not a single scratch on her. That doesn't convey a hardship that would warrant loss of approval ratings with her.
If you want to sell the idea that Leliana has literally been through hell, they've got to show her beaten and somewhat down. Don't have her pulling off feats of strength to show us how "tough" she is. She'll have that opportunity later on when the Inquisitor's party deals with the mage at the end of the video, so it's not like you're depriving Leliana of her ability OF being a bada**. But if you're going to keep that moment in the game, don't make her dislike the Inquisitor because the operation went south. Leliana's been through far worse situation with Marjolaine's betrayal AND the ash tainting Warden.
Yeah, not knowing the context makes criticism of the event we're looking at a little premature. Besides, if she's being held by mages, they could easily "torture" her in some fashion that doesn't result in a physical show of it.
I know if I was ordered to go somewhere and do something but ended up captured and tortured at that location until I was rescued, I'd question the order to send me there after the fact. That could result in me being a bit sour about the decision making depending on the situation.
I do agree, leilana showed barely any sign of torture, not beaten up or anything at all.
Besides, if she's being held by mages, they could easily "torture" her in some fashion that doesn't result in a physical show of it.
That's like saying a prisoner who was being electrocuted with wires strung all over their body was actually being water boarded. There's a difference between what you think they're doing and what we are actually presented with. Before Sera unlocks the door, you can actually hear Leliana being smacked around by her captor, and once we get inside, we pan across a table full horrible looking tools that the captor actually uses. Unless a knife is now considered a magical entity that can only be used by mages, we see nothing in this video to support the theory that she was tortured with magic.
While I understand the whole "pre-mature" judgement call since the game clearly isn't done, I doubt much of what we see in terms of how Leliana's rescue is depicted is going to change. BioWare may brag about their "award winning story telling", but this video shows more on what we don't like about their story telling than what we do like. Does anyone have any doubt that no matter what you say, Leliana is going to kill Felix? I'm honestly surprised the Inquisitor doesn't call Leliana out on this since the mage sounded willing to let the Amulet go in exchange for his son's life... or whatever is going on with him. If Leliana isn't going to allow a negotiation to go peacefully, she is a liability that should be taken much more seriously than it is here.

Or going to use. Maybe this whole scene is just the start of interrogation. We simply don't know for certain; though I was slightly puzzled when Laidlaw said that Leliana had been tortured. Anyway, I'm sure it will make (more) sense once we get our hands on the game. ))
Does anyone have any doubt that no matter what you say, Leliana is going to kill Felix?
I do, but it doesn't even matter, because "that whole demo you saw, in the last half of it, when you’re fighting with Alexius and Felix, not all the players are going to see that, because going into that area is the result of a branching choice in the game."
leliana is a master spy who would have suggested that she go so it's her own fault for getting caught and she should have been aware of that so she can't get all 'how dare you' when she knows the risks of working with the inquisition
